DESCRIPTION:Hello Everyone\,\n\nIt is with great pleasure that I announce the launch of Ono Records first full length album\, Jan Pienkowski - U & I\, Thursday\, December 21 at the SAT. A collaboration between Ono Records and SAT[MixSessions]\, the event is an evening of classical music\, electronic mayhem and galactic visuals.\n\n[U+I] = SYMPHONY :: Space Electro Classic\n\nThe music for the evening explores various classical themes in a unique and personal statement by each performer - ranging from a solo lute performance by Mitsar\, through an electronic revisit of Bach's music by DECA and STERN\, to a mix of various classical composers and electro music performed by Jan Pienkowski with Karin Côté (Soprano) and Etienne Dupuis (Baritone)\, all the way to a purely digital gameboy solo set by Taxi Nouveau. Some of the composers explored in the evening include: Chopin\, Schubert\, Bach\, Mozart\, Puccini\, Satie\, Stravinsky.\n\nThe visuals expand on the themes explored in the music beginning with Nayuntuk's take on the renaissance period. Athanore look to the future with new notions of space and time while OUANANICHE takes us on an 8bit trip. Pink Rubber Lady\, Bunkertv and TIND join forces on a special theme for the U & I set\, incorporating imagery from the album's graphics\, and Lumea ends the evening in a minimal universe.\n\nThe entire evening will begin with the unveiling of Robin Dixon's newest paintings - shipped from London\, England\, especially for the occasion - one of which is featured on the U & I album cover.
