DESCRIPTION:Saturday February 8th Clonk and the SAT will bring you the second in a \nseries of 4 events one for each season appropriately titled "Resound". \nEach of these events is designed to focus on  the emerging new \ngeneration of electronic music producers\, that are pushing the envelope \nand incorporating interactivity into their work. The first Resound event \ntook place in September 2002 at the SAT and was adeptly titled The Autumn \nResound. It featured Live and DJ performances by a variety of local and \nout of town electronic music talent. \nThe Winter Resound will take place on February 8th at \nthe SAT located at 305 Rue Ste-Catherine Ouest and will feature the \nMontreal debut of the highly stylised sounds and visuals of Detroits very \nown Kero with releases on  Bpitch Control\, Shitkatapult and Lowres \nRecordings\, Kero has been wowing audiences internationally for some time \nand garnering much critical acclaim. Kero uses a TCP/IP link between two \nlaptops to orchestrate both sound and visuals into a dance floor frenzy \nof 3d vector graphics and gritty robotic beats. The night will also \nfeature a live set by Torontos Tinkertoy whose self released CD \nand 12 inch on their Lautmashine imprint has gathered much attention so \nmuch so that they have recently been signed to both Noise Factory and \nPiehead Records.  \nRounding out the night will be local artists Mike Shannon (DJ)\, Clonk \nresident naw (live) and the VJing talents of Johnny Ranger  (mindroots.com). \nWith Mike Shannons Force Inc debut he has secured him self a spot as one \nof Canadas top-rate producers. His highly regarded releases over the \nyears are proof of that - but he has also built an irrefutable \nreputation\, as one of Canadas most respected and well-known \ntechno DJs. For this special occasion Mike will providing us with his own \nspecial brand of turntable wizardry on 3 turntables with 2 special \nextended sets during the night. Clonk resident naw will once again \nreturn to the Montreal stage after a number if out of town performances \nin support of his releases on Noise Factory and Piehead records late last \nyear. Recent live performances as naw has seen this Clonk founder move \neven the most chin scratching of audiences with his his custom tailored \nalterations of minimal techno and click house sounds. \nJohnny Ranger will be returning to the Clonk arena for yet another \nwonderful night of electric-organic visuals presented in non-linear \nnarratives that invite spontaneous insights to appear in a \nsurprising blend of synchronicities and multi-layered readings. \nThis event is $12 in advance or $15 at the door (advanced tickets \navailable at the SAT\, CD esoterick and atom heart) doors open at 9pm and \ngoes until the last soul has left the building.\n
