I had the most fun that I've had at a party in a looooong time. I had to admit, I was a little skeptical showing up because I wasn't a fan of the venue after Ball en Rose. But kudos to everyone who did setup, it totally looked like a different space! It was still cold and damp, but it wasn't puddles of beer and broken glass. I also don't mind it slightly chilly- means I don't overheat when I dance!

And dance I did. Drixel played an awesome set, starting out with some Dubstep :) Which always makes me smile. Caught some of Vinny's set before heading off to Saph's.

Went to Saph's, threw back some beers, heard Endo spin (he was retardedly good) and after he was done, headed back to Rewire for more fun!

The psyroom totally blew me away. Massive thanks to Kode6 and Psudraulix for making it hard and fast ;) I was in Psy-bliss.

Good job on everyone- even the people that showed. It made me remember why I started coming out to parties n the first place.

Yeah, le pepper spray was BALLS. Luckily, I wa only on my way in when it happened, and I was able to head right back outside. I had no idea that it hurts like that!

So I showed up after hitting up Rewire, and was totally blown away by Endo. I had some idea of what expect because I had seen him and back to the groove, but his set was KILLER <3

Then I went back to Rewire, which was also hella good. All n' all, despite pepper spray, i had a wonderful time.

If anyone found a pair of purple arm warmers, please let me know. They were hand made, and I would really appreciate getting them back!

Yeah, but sometimes just having one big friend you trust who isn't going to get fucked up standing around and keeping an eye on things in a security shirt is enough for small parties.

But for bigger parties it pays to go pro.

If I had known Screwhead, I probably wouldn't have had any shame in smacking the guy the grabbed me around a little more :) I was worried that I didn't have any back-up if he decided to be an even bigger asshole back.

In all seriousness, while it isn't much of an issue most of the time, I tend to feel much, much better at parties with security. Because when things like this happen, I know who to turn too...

I had major issues with some of the drunks. Early in the evening, I got my ass grabbed by some shit, so I slapped his hand away (pretty hard) and said something offended laced with swear words. Later on in the night it became worse, though. I got pointed out by the guy I slapped and his three friends tried to corner me while I was going to the bathroom. That pretty much killed the night for me.

But I still love you Tipsy and Psydraulix, and I regret leaving during your set(s)!

I have to say, the promoters dropped the ball in a BIG way this time. Alot went wrong (which happens when you throw a party!), and people shuffled the blame and shirked at stepping up and making decisions, which really upsets me. When you ask someone point-blank straight to their face and ask "Who is in charge? Who has final word?" and they look to each other shrug and mumble you know there's a problem. I hate the way the DnB DJs were treated- I only *showed up in the first place* for that 2nd room lineup. You not only disrespected the people spinning, but their fans too.

I'm not gonna rant or throw insults, if the promoters want honest feedback, PM me.

All that being said- you can learn from every mistake. I'm curious to see what you'll do next :)

For rave-related laws, it's kind simple- there aren't any.

The most prudent thing you can do when your planing on throw a party is to double-check things yourself and look at local BY-LAWS. Verdun isn't the same as downtown and NDG is not Ville St Laurent. Do your homework and know what your getting into is the best advice I could give anyone who's looking to throw a good party.

I tend to enjoy parties with themes. I go all hog-wild with weird clothes when I can say 'oh, but it's for a theme party'.

Something that most people don't bring but I swear by- practical shoes. I don't know how most girls dance in the shit that they wear.

Cheesecore? Now I'm just picturing that all wrong. Also, things of note- Little Plastic Castle website should be online soon, so keep your eye peeled for some serious eye-candy and party details :D
