do people have no shame? or self respect for that matter?
clearly these are merely rhetorically driven questions, albeit an answer would be interesting.

my other question is, do people show up at the venue like that? or do they change? where do they put their clothes? what happens is someone tiefs em?

im just so baffled by all the ugly.

does anyone else on this board have an affinity for words?

i do, i do!

while plowing through what feels like an endless pile of essays i find lovely little bits of joy when i come across a new word that fits in perfectly, blah blah blah, all this to say i think in the name of plur (if plur is still all the rage in '09 of course) we should all get warm an fuzzy, hold hands in a large cirlce, maybe sing a little que sera-sera, and share our favourite words together!

(forgive me in advance if this thread as already been previously created and humour me by pretending like you haven't otherwise read something along these lines!)

so kiddies, my word of the day is:::: supercilious
supercilious

adjective
1. having or showing arrogant superiority to and disdain of those one views as unworthy; "some economists are disdainful of their colleagues in other social disciplines"; "haughty aristocrats"; "his lordly manners were offensive"; "walked with a prideful swagger"; "very sniffy about breaches of etiquette"; "his mother eyed my clothes with a supercilious air"; "a more swaggering mood than usual"- W.L.Shirer [syn: disdainful]
2. expressive of contempt; "curled his lip in a supercilious smile"; "spoke in a sneering jeering manner"; "makes many a sharp comparison but never a mean or snide one"

who feels like sharing!?!?!???

it eneded with nearly 200 arrests and upwards of 5 people injured i believe.

such nonsense if you ask me. you can't fight violence with violence, well i mean you can in theory but you won't reach any sort of a resonable outcome. why not stage a real protest, something organized with a goal of being peaceful and demonstrating that these protest do NOT pormote violent acts?

i whole heatedly support the anti-police brutality movement. i just wish that the police didn't always come out of things looking like the wiser individuals.

and to the punk girl walking by the CTV cameras, putting down the can of molson dry would make you look far more credible...just saying.

i wish you excellent grades!

honestly, the mix of the french and the english as me totally muddled too. depending on who im with i jump back and forth and come up with weird words. Now that you mention it i finally understand why i was so dead set on majoritally. hahahaha, amazing, <3!

thanks in great part to midterms my school related procrastination is at an all time high and my internet searching is reaching new levels of lame.

and then it hit me, mid-paper,like a big yellow school bus, that majoritally is in fact, not a real word. I feel devastated, baffled and clearly over dramatic. But regardless of adjectives and emotions, i was so freaking sure majoritally was a real god damn word. It sounds so much better than largely, and it just has a nice ring to it.

To top it off, i'm pretty certain i've been using that non-word as a real word for the past few weeks, and then yellow school bus number two hit me, i'm totally screwed academically if i keep using these non-words and trying to peddle them as real ones. But this fear is trumped by bus number one.

So people of ravewave, please make me feel less special ed and tell you that you too enjoy words that are not actually real words.

i'm also a big fan of conversate, i know converse works quite fine, but i just really like conversate.

also also also, there is an page dedicated the peoples favorite non-words. o man, god bless google, i feel less moronic already <3 <3!

i meant ignorance is bliss is a purposefully sarcastic way, being ignorant is a personal choice and a weak one at that.

I’ve partied with drugs, as well as without. Either way it was always about enjoying the music and the good vibes, without question. I don't touch anything anymore; haven’t for years. Regardless of personal consumptions either past of present, i still stand by my original belief that plur itself belongs to a certain realm, and when taken out of said realm, it holds little weight.

Being a good person is super. Believing in acronyms that are ridiculous is another. Either way, it's just the way i see it!

if ignorance is your bliss than sure why not.

can you really claim that peace, love, unity, and respect are plausible guidelines to live by?
don't get me wrong here, i'm all for general kindness, positive thinking, and all other forms of zen-like granola kid mannerisms. However, even what you speak of isn’t necessarily plur-like. You talk of society and social norms in an idealistic sense, and i mean sure it’s fun and joy filled, but impractical in a larger sense. If you were to walk into your work place and tell your boss to have a plur-day, don’t you think he/she would look at you like you had four eyes?

it's one thing to live a life adamently directed towards being a good person, it's another to expect others to follow your personal values...no?
And if it's a good way to start a month, what about mid month? after all those extacy binges have caught up with you and you're dead set on hating the world and turning over a new more jaded leaf?

(this was directed to a post one up, apparently i can't type fast enough)

as for bliss:
drug related or otherwise, i still feel that the guidelines plur stands for are unrealistic in a real world sense. maybe i'm to pesimistic, or to much of a realist, but still, that shit doesn't work on a day to day basis.
