Sup folks,
While I know the style of music i play might not be what is most popular on this site, I wanted to share this with whoever will take the time to listen. I'm off to Europe again for a while to get my fix, and this is a promo cd that i will be handing out while there. Not much to say other than that, if you listenplease leave me a comment, it doesn't matter if it is good or bad just listening means much to me. All recorded live with 12" and cd, no studio style sets for this cat. Have a happy new year everyone, and party safe. Much prosperity to all of you and yours in the coming year. Time to shut the fuck up and on to the beats.

Le Freak - An Evening With Itchy Hottin [Promo CD][Techno/Tech House/MNML]

Monoblock - Trizas [Minuendo Spain]
Adultnapper - Brandy Mcleoud [Audiomatique]
Monoblock - Hache [Minuendo Spain]
Jona - Dehydrate [Toys For Boys Records]
Gustavo Ferrante & Marriano DC - Peaktime (Xpansul Remix) [Andes]
Xpansul - Mas Tarde Que Nuca [Minuendo Spain]
Style Of Eye - Minaret [Fabriquez Musique]
Style Of Eye - Kirstenbosch [Fabriquez Musique]
Samuel L Session Ft Elbee Bad - Off The Chain (The Drums) [Klap Klap Records]
Sum aka Carl Finlow & D'Julz - Brain Hoover [Klang Electronic]
Format B - Full House [OPOSSUMrec]
Christian Kaltenhoffer - Bum Tschack [Scheiber Productions]
Harry Axt - Odious [Leftroom Limited]

Bonus Track

ps...the last track is unmixed, i wanted to something different sort of like the old school hidden tracks that were on cd's back in the day. (like that all by myself tune on green days dookie). A litle something from home (Archipel is so amazing, its too bad that sound doesnt get more attention in its home city) and share it with European friends. Definately a beatiful piece of marimba and a different way to end a dancefloor oriented set.

Cheers

i havent touched the crossfader in years.(i disabled it and its taped) ;) Other than reverb and sometimes delays i don't fucking touch efx...because they sound like efx. (even through sends). With your eq's you can do stuff to make things interesting. 1+1=3 ;)

nice post.

Music is an obsession, and addiction. I don't play for pay,but because simply its a thing i love very much. Its therapy, relaxation, elation all wrapped into one. I'll record and post sets maybe no one will listen to, and thats cool...I don't do it for that, if one person likes it im happy. The thing is i still buy all of these tracks, pay for all the gear and what not simply because as grown ups that is what you do.Its fucking life...if you are an alcoholic do you steal your wine? Most alcoholics are the hardest working fuckers you will ever see, all to pay for their obsession. The same can be said for dj's, wether in the bedroom or not. Buying your tracks means that they become more special to you...you have less music, but the music you have you invested in making it simply more valuable in some ways. You can hear the difference in sets between a guy who selects carefully what to play and some hack just throwing every new release he can he got off soulseek into a pile of non flowing garbage. Now i respect turntablists, but that is simply not what i am. I don't play a style it lends itself to and my major funtion is to find tracks that fit and flow. Tracks that when mixed together create an overlap and bring in originality to something that is not my own. The eq is my weapon and i'm a beatmatcher not a slam fader. Im fucking baked so i dont know if this makes any sense lol. Buy a tomato from iga and eat one you grew in your own garden..which one tastes better? What im trying to say is when you put the effort into something and not let something do it for you the results show. I will also say i like the slight imperfections when mixing with vinyl or cd (nothing major of course)..it gives it its own flavour..something that neatly warped tracks fail so pathetically at and make sterile and boring. Not talking trainwrecks here folks, but ever notice when 2 kicks are just a fraction off it sounds so much more analog..so much more sexy? Digital takes that away...

in life no pain = no gain and this is universal...the best things in life aren't free...the best things in life are the things you work your ass off for. Rage against the machine.....

Yes i agree, they should also make programs that pick the songs for the "dj" and do everything fucking for him so he can have more time to do lines off your moms ass. IPOD BATTLE!

yes only dj's should pay for music. All the time producers spend in the studio making tracks should not be compensated so you can butcher their shit for free. Last time i checked you weren't making any money off these tracks but are still a fucking tool.

ahahahahaha...did you know that Girltalk plays pre made sets out of cool edit? Fuckinglol. I agree that ableton is a great tool man,but sorry most of the time 46 tracks piled on top of each other sounds like shit.

Luciano,Hawtin,Pheek (plays his own music) are good with ableton. Girl Talk???? Shit thats lol. Pre made sets are fucking lame...and don't argue that they arent i was in the booth in Syracuse when my friend opened for him. Nothing more than press play and start dancing aroundlike an idiot. Don't get me started on ableton peeps who play shit illegal vinyl rips that arent available digitally. (without paying for the software either.)

Gaysauce.

@ clown, thats not what i meant. Have you ever seen an international guest dj on his laptop but is still mixing with records and cd's? They aren't looking at [ bangbros.com ] but finding their music. ;) You buy an mp3 or wav, put a code in the song title like 12 A for example...while you are playing your gig you enter the name of the track in the search it pops up with 12a..go to the slot in your binder and voila, instant cd. No one is asking for you to mix with your pc, because people who do that shouldnt get paid. Now ifyou don't have a laptop, then well errrr get one. They can be a dj's best friend from recording, keeping track of tracklistings, finding your shit and never underestimate the power of midi loops. It can help make a decent set into a great one just by adding a lil something something.

By label and catalogue number. Sub Labels go on the same shelf as mother labels. All white labels ,acetate, unreleased bootlegs all go seperate even if i know what label they are from. I add labels on the shelves and know my collection like the back of my hand at this point, so when i need to fill my maxis it doesnt take too much time to get the stuff i want. I need more shelves though lol. I'm pretty damn meticulous, because as most tell me..im a fucking nutbag to have as much wax as i do.

Cd's are easy..just code your binders and add the code in a program like i tunes to the track and such. Enter the track name get the code and bam...you have a cd in 2 seconds instead of flipping.

Sup Folks, I just wanted to share the last demo i'll be doing this year with y'all. Its a moody bitch encompassing most of the techno spectrum (ok maybe not schranz but maybe one day ill do an old school 3 deck loop tech set), so if that is your thing please have a listen. Comments are always more than welcome, and i'll take this time to wish you all a happy festivus. Party safe and don't be afraid to smack grandma in the face if she acts like a bitch and buys you socks.

yahoo personals, lavalife, [ date.ca ] do you think they care if another fucking waste of a dating site opens?
no. they don't.
dotmate, and this other dating site that ian will be working for will not be competitors in the traditional sense. the internet is huge. there are countless losers out there willing to waste money on a dating site. sure, they're both dating services, but you think that Coke cares if RC cola opens a new bottling plant? no. theyre market share is secure.
ugh. there's so much rage in my head now i can't even formulate a coherent response. there are too many things i want to say.
noah, you're greedy.
ian, get yourself out of debt by any means necessary.
