| Info: | Doc's Notes: Aaah, my first event ever. I think back to how stupid and ignorant I was back then and I shake my head in amazement that these parties got off the ground at all, let alone were as successful as they were. I have to give credit where credit is due, to my partner in Phase, Adam aka DJ Snug. Although we didn't agree on anything about anything at the time, we were a good team and I guess that reflected in the fact that Release was very successful. Over 300 people, and the cops didn't even show up at all! Great venue, great vibe. It was an all styles event and at the time that was okay - everyone got down to all genres of music, which was pretty neat. The party went so smoothly there's almost nothing especially interesting to tell about this one. Well, there is one interesting story. There was an rave scheduled for the night after Release that was in the same venue as us, thrown by a guy named Tony (who basically looked like a five foot tall version of Billy Zane - y'know, the bad dude from Titanic!). Anyways, it's around 4am in the morning and one of the staff decides to go up into the office and sleep for a few hours. Tony drops in on the party with his girlfriend and they sneak upstairs into said office and have sexual relations on the desk. I know this because after Tony and his girl leave the office, my staff comes out ten minutes later looking freaked out. "I was sleeping under the desk and I woke up and all I see are these hairy legs pumping hardcore and some girl squealing!" And that's my funny Release story, thank you and goodnight! |
