Need Some Advice For Sony Vegas And Syncing Audio

 Coolness: 86415 | I am using Sony Vegas Pro 9.0 trial and I need a little advice on syncing..
me and my friend recorded a set last night into soundforge, but also shot some video of it with a little camera - the camera ran for the first 13 minutes of the set then the battery died.. but it's a solid 13 minute intro of both of us mixing that turned out nicely - so it would be perfect for one youtube video but the camera audio is shite, and there's a lot of us talking in it, which I dont want. so i want to replace the camera audio with the 320 from the soundforge. so I have the 13 minute clip copied from the soundforge.. and I can *almost* have it synced - but it seems like the video is about 0.4 seconds ahead of the audio - like I can tell watching the crossfader chops etc that it is a tiny bit ahead... but try as I might I cant seem to find a way to just get it lined up perfectly - it doesnt seem to want to line up and jumps to a certain point I am very very new to this. I know there must be a way to be able to get it right, but right now I cant figure it out and it's getting tedious - can anyone help? thx in advance! |

 Coolness: 64760 | Just a minute, firing up Vegas Pro, I have an idea but I just want to confirm if it'll actually work
hold on ... All right You will have to trim the video and cut +- .4 secs so your layers will both be in sync. Place the pointer on top of your video layer, right click, this will open up a menu. Choose open in trimmer. Now you have your video in the trimmer. Select the whole thing minus +- .4 at the beginning and drag it down in your video track. This is your new video layer :) Hope it helped. |
