Healing circle? Reiki share? Care to give some info on these. Yeah I could look them up, but since your posting I figure I'd ask for your knowledge on'em.

*OR* Even better, do you have a good resource that explains them?
I'm feeling ^^ right now..

I actually don't have a good source to explain them except in my own words:

A reiki share is a group of reiki practitioners getting together to work with one another and share information helping eachother learn. Also non- practioning people would be welcome to pick up a thing or too of course:)

A healing circle is close to the same thing, but diferent!lol. You can get creative wilth this one how it is to be done. Usually we have a mens circle and a womens circle. WIth a fire in the middle if possible. Also usually we like to host these on the new moon, as its a remnewal circle....generally its a verbal excersise followed by energy work, and some burning of sages and pine and some meditation. Quite traditional where I'm from:) ALso usually snacks and refreshments beforehand to get to meet eachother a bit. All are welcome! Actually for sure there will be a few of these circles going on this summer! They are awesome!
I'm feeling dreadilicious right now..

? NOt too sure what you meant by that. Let me go into more detail as I'm sure you are "unassumed" to what I'm talking about in general. That was a nice metaphore thow! I'd agree with you, but this has nothing to do with unassumed pseudo spiritual oriented stuff.

A healing circle: A group of people gather at the new moon or as a symbol of new beguinings, A group gathers and we usually make a talking stick. The one with the stick is the one whom talks. We have 4 rounds of verbal excersice: the first round you pass around the stick and talk a bit about yourself, the second round you talk about what your thankful for. The third round you talk about your relationships. the fourth round you talk about the things you would like to change before the next ew moon. Also we burn sage beforehand for purification and throw pine into the fire after we speak. These circles are very theraputic and a great experience! Also we usually follow up with a mediation and leave happy campers!:) It can be as spiritual or as non spiritual as you would like it to be! Usually we have mostly womens circles as most men don't seem to jive to this sort of thing as much!lol

Reiki Share: is the usage of reiki as a group rather than individuals to help eachother learn and grow, to make eachother stronger and open oneself..I dont see that as a pseudo spiritual oriented thing at all. Take it as you like thow!

Peace!<3

@Sundari: I respect your views.
I was just throwing out my two cents.
I tend to do that alot.

I'm all for spirituality, but I get uncomfy when it's beeing fed to the masses.
But I guess that's my own little hermetic delusions. It seems that a lot of people tend to underestimate the empowerement introspection brings, and that is usually a perfect recipe for creating super-douchebags. ;)

As above, so below.

Cheers.

Don't not forget to include the sense of self-righteousness created when you can't stay humble in the so-called "spiritual quest"
I'm feeling fuck it all. seriously right now..

But I mean really, what's the point of religion or spirituality if you can't rub everyone's face in how much more awesome you are than them because of it?
I'm feeling like a drama magnet right now..

This post is a little old but yes, i'm interest in a reiki share or an healing circle. I usually meditate alone so i would like to see what a group of person sharing the same energy can do. And i'm always curious of learning. But you know my english speaking and understanding Allison, so you 'll have to speak slowwwly ^^

I think is not because you are spiritual or religious that you're more awesome than somebody. It just give you a diferent perception of the world and people. To be religious is not bad, that what people do in name of them religion which is worst. And also, you can have a lot of assumption, ethic, philosophic, spiritual, but they take sens only when they're corroborated by your acts. That why, masses movements (+ mediatics movements) are mistaken -for no say corrupt-. People do something not for them own well being and the one of other but because there is many people doing it. That the mistake.

In my way sirituality give you the opportunity of all comprehension but it's a work of all days, for not say all moments, and it's indivisible of compassion, kindliness and humility.

... Maybe this message was no useful, and it's possible i don't understand completly what all of you was saying but it said.

-what QFT and douchebag ?-
I'm feeling tchill tchill tchill right now..

more chances of stuff like that happening at bigger festivals in the summer. the rest of the time know that the people who are healing are doing it all the time when they're dancing, no?
spiritual is an everyday thing, but speaking about it does not make people douchebags. sharing is a nice experience.
I'm feeling metal right now..
