he decided to stay after eclipse to refind himself...

kinda weird actually, what did the guy look like? One of my friends actually saved someone's life at eclipse who took a swim and was way to inebriated to be in the water. You really gotta be careful in the water
I'm feeling wtf charles? right now..

very true. I remember a guy at my highschool died like that.

he was out camping and partying at some long-weekend thing at a lake. wandered away by himself in the dark on the trail. he was really drunk, and must've slipped and hit his head, and then fell into the water, and that's how they found him.

when you are disoriented, it can happen really easily and really fast.

sorry to hear about your friend

R.I.P.

This is really unfortunate. It seems a lot of people like to swim high or otherwise inebriated, I know for one it feels good, but I nearly drowned back in 2003 high out of my gourd on ecstasy and kizzo when I tried to simulate a sensory-dep chamber experience by trying to float in a k-hole. I was lucky my friends saved me.

Forgive me I'm false in assuming there were drugs involved, it has to do with my own personal experiences of staying later at teknival sites to just enjoy the space, and Eclipse is after all a source of peak experiences for a lot of its attendees. I send my condolences although I didn't know him, this is not easy news and brings up a lot of worrisome questions about how to deal safely with water at festivals/parties and even just on camping trips. It's very important to always have at least one first aid expert with you, preferably one who has a bronze medallion at the very least. Even sober, bodies of water can be rather dangerous if you aren't equipped to deal with emergencies.
I'm feeling mighty frisky right now..
