I'm feeling happy joy joy right now..

Moi quand j'avais 2-3 ans ma mère me faisait écouter du Vangelis... Ça doit être pour ça que j'aime la musique électronique, j'ai été brainwashée!!!! ;)
(mais, c'est du brainwashage le fun ça.)
I'm feeling misanthropic right now..

Hahaha... I believe the first electronic track I ever heard was "Me and my Moog" by Dick Hyman or Tomita's version of Pictures of an Exhibition by Mussorgsky.

Shit man this is a hard question because I totally haven't thought about when I first got turned on to "rave" music versus "dance" music. I believe it was "Can U Feel It", but I didn't hear the word rave until I heard "Witchdoctor" by Armand Van Helden. Second track I heard was "Biaaatch". I have no idea who that track is by but it goes "Biaaatch" every four bars.

Hey but when I think about it, the first electronic album I bought was MAARS' "Pump Up The Volume" when I was around 12 years old. I picked that up as well as The Beastie Boys "License to Ill" and the Fat Boys' "Crushin'". Best track off that Fat Boys album was "My Nuts".
I'm feeling old and crotchety right now..

i'd say mine was Psyche Rock on the Mess pour un Temps Present soundtrack from Pierre Henry. Its the first song published to ever used electronicaly created sounds (or so was I told). That song is also the inspiration behind Futurama's theme song

psyche rock predates Robots by 8 years (1967). And i said using electronicaly created sounds. As there are real live instruments used in the tracks + electronicaly generated sounds. :)
I'm feeling booooored right now..

Nuh-uh... the first electronic instrument was the Telharmonium - thus its output was the first electronic music, first synthesizer was the Electronic Sackbut, and the first recording of electronic instruments was John Cage's Imaginary Landscape #1 (1930), which was a recording of sine waves played back on two turntables which he mixed together.

Kraftwerk? Please... how could that be the first electronic track?

I'm sure officially the sine wave records were the first electronic "tracks".

I don't remember the exact track, but the first electronic record I listened to was some Chris Shepherd's pirate radio session, with acid, stuff and such. It was great!
