Adam Freeland est un DJ producteur originaire de Brighton qui a fait ses 1ères armes en fusionnant le breakbeat et la techno, s'intégrant ainsi dans un style étiquetté nu-breaks.
En 1996 il sort un 1er album de mixes intitulé Coastal Breaks, suivi de Coastal Breaks Vol.2 en 1998. Il s'acoquine à Kevin Beber pour former le duo de producteurs Tsunami One, avec qui il sort le single No. 43 With Steamed Rice Please puis le hit trance Hip Hop Phenomenon en 1999. En 2000, il sort le mix très tech-house Tectonics, suivi de son album Now and Them en 2003, qu'il défendra en tournée avec Massive Attack. En 2004, il mixe le Fabric Live 16.
