Clone (Gordon Brown) was born in Ontario Canada, he has Lived in Canada most of his life, except for 3 years when he was very young, he lived in Saudi Arabia where he began to play the piano. He played Classical Piano for about 10 years, during which time he has also played a little guitar, drums, clarinet and alto sax. He has also received "First Class Honours With Distinction" for 4 years of Classical music theory examinations. in 1995 he became ensnared with a passion for electronic music (having had a love of 80's synth pop and 90's industrial music) and began to DJ trance and Jungle.
In 1996 Clone discovered psy/goa trance and quickly switched over to playing only that genre. It wasn't until 1998 however that He realized the deep spiritual nature of this music. Clone began to produce in 2000 and has been working in his spare time to perfect his own sound.
"I try to create a piece of music that tells a story, to take the listener on a journey. I try to incorporate dominant melodic elements in progressive layers to create different harmonics that are pleasing to the mind, and that grab the attention and don't let go until the end of the piece. Most of my music is written in the melodic versions of minor scales and i try to write in a wide range of keys, to create a different soundscape each time."
in March 2006 he was signed to Geomagnetic.tv in San Francisco but is currently seeking different labels to license his music that adhere to better business principles, and that fulfill their contractual agreements. Clone has finished work on a full length album, titled "Conceptual Reality" and is currently looking for a home for it. Keep an eye open for "Real Eyes" compiled by Clone, to be released late 2007.
Over the years Clone has been involved in many events in Canada's Nation Capital and surrounding areas, including one of his own open air events "Noctis Mirabilis", as well as Managing the bookings for the Psy stage for three years in a row @ Canada's Largest festival, the "World Electronic Music Festival", Clone has also been involved in the popular Free weekly events in Ottawa for three of the past four years. Clone has also had the opportunity to play in the US and also at the BooM! Records Cosmic Trip Ship in Amsterdam in 2001.
