How about 4 fire breathers, a contortionist/fire staff performer, and some fire Poi performers? Oh and Kat the Midge Stripper...and several metal grinding performances, Burlesque, and of course blood wrestling - and that was just what we set up on the Vampire stage, the other stage is a completely different theme with different music and performances.

While I think parties based around stuff like Fangtasia & the Blade movies are pretty fucking ghey (went to a Fangtasia themed event when I was in London & it was a suckfest); however a Vampire theme can be done well & it's lot of fun...it's just a lot of work if you aren't going for cheesy.

I'd love to know what technical errors since it's mixed in key, beat & pitch matched? I'm honestly asking you to pick it apart and tell me what errors I made...that way I can learn from them. I understand it's easy to say some one's wrong...I'd like to know where I am wrong & what can be done to fix it.

I'll give you the untimed part on the world destruction mix into virtual embrace (it's not off, it's just a rough transition & could have been set better had I been using production software rather than simply live mixing), & I threw the last song in at the end just because I wanted to.

Coming back to Montreal next week on some personal matters, anything fun going on? Don't really have any performance plans, just decided on the trip yesterday...so looks like this one is going to be purely a vacation :) ...though that is open for change, love performing in Montreal.
It'll be nice to visit again before school starts this fall...
also DJ Triptych is coming up with me & bringing all the metal grinding equipment (& some light sound/DJ stuff)...thinking of maybe hosting a small gathering @ the cottage/lake we will be staying at...hehehe

ANYWAYS...after 2 weeks of trolling around Europe I am returning to MONTREAL...YAY!!!
I have an amazing new set from Wednesday (tomorrow) that took my entire 6 hr flight back to organize. Now all that's left is to work out some final tweaks and it'll be ready to be debuted LIVE!!
That's right....no prerecorded fakes or automix function. Just me, my Hercules RMX,a sick music library, and a couple of cans of Red Bull...

So I didn't make it through /all/ of this, but.......

A good DJ to me is some one who:
1. can beat match
2. mix in key
3. understand the finer points of business
4. read the crowd
5. diversify their style when needed
6. perform under pressure
7. is professional enough to perform sober & maintain a certain standard of behavior


Also you need a certain love for the music and your audience...there are so many lack luster club DJs that do have skillz, however they stopped truely caring a long time ago.

So I come to this major intersection & there's all these people standing around waiting to cross, on both sides. So I wait...figuring some one had already pushed the crossing button thing. And we wait and the light changes and every one goes to move...but NO walk sign.
You see all these people (like 15-20) on each side) are just waiting around, looking confused as to why the signal hadn't changed

...so I pushed the button and it changed 30seconds later...

It's almost like a bad joke...only this really happened to me.

That photo is going to be the cover for Mystery Society #1, which ships internationally on May 26th. It's from IDW who did "30 Days OF Night" (a comic series that was later viciously raped by rabid emus & made into a major motion picture)
They're actually in talks for making a Hack/Slash movie and I'm hoping to have some sort of involvement in it.

I've considered it...
but then what would I have to look forward to when I travel?

You guys definitely have one of the most fun scenes I've visited, I always try to stop trough whenever I am traveling

Had a blast when I was here in November, so after I return from a brief trip in Europe (2 weeks) I'm going to be spending a week in Montreal :):) Super excited!!!

Sadly between college finals (eep!), performing, modeling, the company, and traveling/packing....my contacts list is a disorganized mess & I can't even find people in my own city at this point let aloe a matching pair of thigh highs :(

So to all the awesome friends I've made here, please forgive my awful disorganization & shoot me a message so we can hang out again!

Definitely plan to revisit Passport; I <3 that club! & hope stop by Sapphire as well. Would love to go around the city now that the weather is warmer, I regret I didn't get to do too much touristing last time.
