It's what we all need, it's what he would want, and there's no way around it. when i have the brain power and a greater sense of reality, i will keep you all informed. as well as to his actual funeral service.

if you showed me that a year ago, i would have been confused...
but then I was fortunate enough to be introduced to a good handful of those kids round and about last year (606, remark, bong-ra , vibert, aaron spectre *fucking furious onstage despite being teenie!*, snares..). I found a loft space on the corner of St. Andre street, on Ontario (Berri-UQAM metro) that is pretty cheap, sunny, and ready to be inhabited by creative folks, once I get my hands on it and give it some love, start MARCH 1st

I want to live in it, and it would be *just* big enough to have a roommate, but my ideal would be to share the space with another artist, non-resident. Unfortunately, no musicians (ie bands) aloud unless you feel like soundproofing the walls...

I am a dancer, and I intend to keep part of the space clear so I can work in it. I am looking for someone who would be interested in splitting the rent with me, to have some studio space. You would have full access to the apartment, you could even crash there sometimes use shower whatever, but I would live there permanently.

The share of the rent would be 400$/month everything included.
If you're interested in this proposition, or in living there, holler at me anyway!

I need tips.
I'm making a short dance film to a dubstep music track soon...February March in Montreal.

I need someone to help me conceive, search for, make, fit, alter, whatever costumes for a few dancers (three to start, two others later on)

We are working on getting money, but as of now we will just pay in fame and gratitude. Materials of course will be covered by us.

If you know of students or others in need of experience, or with no training but enthusiasm and a generous spirit and a bit of free time, please let me know ASAP.

I am searching for a space to replace (as of March) the incredible old-school loft I currently inhabit/dance in on a sublet. Somewhere to start feeling a bit more anchored.

My wish list:

Neighborhoods---> Mile-End, Plateau, Downtown, Centre-Sud, Centre-West/Griffintown, St-Henri...somewhere either really on or really off.
Rent---> hopefully less than 400, all told, my share.
Space---> places to cook, wash and sleep, but just as importantly, room to practise and create dance: a decent wood floor and around 100 sq. ft. of cleared space or more...

I'm a contemporary dancer but (as you well know) I overstep my bounds so I need to live with people who can tolerate listening to loud heavy music (dubstep a lot these days) incessantly....party people, heavy sleepers, deaf folks, or ghosts. It's important to me not to annoy people, including neighbors.

I am very adaptable to all sorts of squalor, as long as the people surrounding me are open-minded and easy going, and there is sun, moderate warmth, and coffee.

Pluses: internet, laundry facilities, an oven, vegetarians, animals, non-smoking, plants, views, yard and/or rooftop access, a clawfoot tub, consciencious but bizarre +/or creative roommates, couchsurfers, German/Spanish/French-speakers, a super stereo system, near-by grocery stores, metro stations etc.

Any help is appreciated, even if it's a whole space in need of work that is up for grabs. DANKE!

exactly what i was gonna say. Sometimes it's so hard to know how to project your energy at a party...even if your dancing hard as hell...i still feel weird not dancing facing towards the DJ, even if he's boring as shit to watch. Having friends doesn't help, because you can't talk to them most of the time anyway, and when you're dancing you don't want to gaze into their eyes or anything. So VJs help the balance of power (All hail the TV!)...but somehow it still seems false.

oh dilema.

DJing is the most over-hyped profession in the world, you owl-sucking cyphers. *grin*

i've thought about this many times...

and the feeling i constantly come back to, is that if (in the words of Betsy Johnson) i want to kick ass, i've got to do it now.

so much genius seems to hit before the 25-30ish mark: before the brain settles into a nice comfortable single-perspective view of the world...
