I didn't get home until late last night from a LONG weekend and had an email box full of messages from people wondering what happened. I didn't have mobile service where I was over the weekend, as well as limited internet access, so I didn't know there was a problem until late yesterday. I had to pre-record the show since I was going to be unavailable and the show file was successfully sent to Techno.fm, so it was an technical issue.

So, to be fair to Scott Kemix & Pheeva, as well as everyone else that were so kind to tune in, I'm going to hold their mixes until I can get all the F.A.T. Collective mixes for the entire series, schedule them all and redo the show proper with a new mix from Pheeva and the mix from Scott Kemix that didn't air this week. Apparently the show started over an hour late, which in turn cut the actual recorded show that much short and that was the headliners time slot.

Thanks for the tips! I've got 2 different versions of Cubase, Recycle software and a bunch of VST plugins, so now I just need to figure out how to get it all to work together!! haha! I guess that's half the fun. Much appreciated.

We noticed that a lot of the underground parties that were happening in Montreal lately were mostly all locals, so we thought we'd try to bring some new names and sounds to the great Montreal underground. We also aren't trying to pidgeon hole ourselves by only doing one kind of music. There will be lots of styles to please everyone at future events, so this is just the beginning.

Where else can you get a line up like this with 4 international headliners, 12 hours, etc. for only $10?!

I'm just starting out learning to make tracks, so I sought the advice of producers that I actually spin, like Alex Calver, Patrick DSP, etc. and almost every one of them uses Cubase. I've been using Reason 3.0 and found it to be very user friendly compared to Cubase, but I've had people tell me that Reason is a beginners software and not to waste my time. Then I read in an interview with Liam Howlett of The Prodigy that their newest album was done completely on Reason and a couple pieces of outboard hardware. So now I'm completely confused. Any tips for a novice trying to find their way in the right direction for production?

And some people need to stop their childish, immature rantings and attitudes. It only makes you look like a fuckin' idiot. Be constructive and helpful or don't say anything at all.

My apologies to everyone who tuned in and, once again, didn't hear what was scheduled. I had a DJ gig in Montreal, Canada on Saturday, so I prerecorded the show since I wouldn't be back before showtime on Sunday to broadcast live. I tried for over 4 hours to upload the show file after my gig and it failed every time. I even tried different FTP software programs and it still wouldn't work. I had to get some sleep, so I crashed. When I woke up and checked my email I had received the follow from Techno.fm staff:

Wow! I can't believe how many people came out on Saturday!! It was one of our most successful shows since we've been doing the monthly at Velvet, especially since it was pouring rain! So it was a great night. In April it will be 1 year that we've been doing shows there and we are picking up momentum, so be sure to check it out. It was so busy that I had to recruit my wife and a friend to help do coat check and the door because there was so many people coming in all at once.

I have to thank DJ BIND [ www.djbind.com ] - Montreal) and PHATRIX (Basscamp/Blessed Breaks - Vermont, USA). They had the dancefloor ROCKIN' in a major way for most of the night. Everyone had a great time with great music and excellent drinks, including some shots on the house from our bartender extraordinaire Adrian Hauserman!! What a great vibe. Hope to see some of you there at our next show on March 4. Thank you to everyone who came out and helped make the night one of the best we've had. Much respect Montreal and it just keeps getting better.
