Born in the northern Venice of Eastern Europe, Saint Petersbourg where he graduated from a music school in classical guitar. In 1991 moved to Canada. A natural since his early teens, Sputnik began spinning for friends at private parties, and was soon moving the dance floors of Montreal's underground. Since 1997 playing the best of progressive trance in rave parties with already known DJs like Aeron Liberator and Christopher Lawrence. In 1999 got his first residency at club Citron on Fridays and Saturdays. Since 2000 he was invited to play major clubs in Toronto like Sugar, Statick, Phantome and Luxor. In 2002 he had his first gig in the legendary SONA afterhour club. Year 2003 kicked-off at Maurice Richard Arena on New Years celebration where he moved a crowd of 3000 people with a special guest from Germany, Humate. Same year he had the opportunity to play with Cosmic Gate at Gravity afterhours. In 2004 he rocked the dancefloor of club Circus, a Montreal favorite by Tiesto, Robbie Rivera, Danny Tenaglia, Tiga and Eric Morillo. Dj Sputnik performed prime time at MIR-2005, a third annual event at the legendary Guvernment(Toronto). In 2006 before moving to Europe he opened up for Nadia-Ali from Iio with there hit single Rapture. Fallowed by a bi-weekly residency at club La Boom. Now living in Paris he performed at club Qin on Chaps Elysee, and club La Villa..
