Sanctuary is Burlington, Vermont's premiere bi-weekly party dedicated to underground dance music. Based in the heart of the Green Mountains at Club Metronome, our goal is to showcase cutting edge house, techno, breaks, electro and drum & bass acts to the ever growing community of dance music enthusiasts in our area. The crew that hosts Sanctuary is a collective of New England based DJs from different musical backgrounds. Currently the collective consists of DJs: Adrenalin (Techno), Endo (Breaks), Haitian (Psytrance), Sekhmet (Drum & Bass), Tricky Pat (Drum & Bass) and Will Taylor (House). His musical diversity and willingness to experiment elevates his listeners to an unparallel frenzy. Regardless of circumstances, Michael can always be expected to play an awesome set that ignites the vibe of the party. In each set you can always feel the energy hit high peaks as he builds up the music. The dance music that he plays has been assigned many labels, many have attempted to pigeonhole his work. However Michaels music cannot be so easily classified. It is best described as hard trace without being predictable, breakbeat without being cheezy, and acid techno without being minimal or boring. Simply put slammin electronic dance music. He is one of the most inspiring and insanely talented DJs. His success can be surely attributed to his unique talent, dedication and passion for music as well as his outgoing personality. Be on the look out for his peak time madness!!! DJ MAYHEM ( Banged Out Entertainment // CT ) (Techno) Timeslot TBA Geoff Rybak aka DJ Mayhem started his trek into the acid techno sound circa 1995 after being exposed to the electronic dance music culture by his best friend and labelmate Dementia 909. After hearing the infectious beats created by producers such as D.A.V.E. The Drummer, Chris Liberator, Rowland The Bastard and others on the Stay Up Forever collective, he decided to finally show his love for the music and made the jump into showcasing this sound. Dark, heavy, Rowland TB-303 acid laden psychedelic melodies are to be heard and felt throughout his intense sets. Mayhem has several mixed CD projects on the horizon under the Teknologikal Warfare name and has 2 volumes of intense acid techno flava that make you seem like you're in the Acid City itself London, England. DJ ADRENALIN (Techno) Timeslot TBA Adrenalin (Chris Sargent Jr.) a commencé a spinner après avoir assisté à son premier évènement à Montréal, le 15 juillet 2000. On ne peut d’écrire en mots la façon dont Tiesto contrôlait la foule. Un mois après cet évènement, qui a changé sa vie, Adrenalin a fait l’acquisition de ses premières tables tournante. Le Trance son premier amour va toujours avoir une place dans son coeur, mais après avoir rencontré Stavros chez Joyryde en faisant de la promotion de rue pour des évènements et partys dans le nord-est des Etats- Unis et au Canada, Adrenalin a découvert des DJs progressif comme Max Graham, Deep Dish et Nick Warren qui lui ont aidé à mieux se définir. Des sons ‘’deep’’ et ‘’dark’’ qui vont chercher l’esprit était la trame sonore pour la prochaine année, qui a fini par être changé pour de bon par un DJ Suédois au mois de septembre 2001, Christian Smith. Personne n’a touché Adrenalin de cette façon depuis sa première rencontre avec ce genre de musique 2 ans auparavant. Puissance, agressivité, rhythme a tout casser – TECHNO !! Ces traits reviennent aux jours passés à écouter du Industrielle, black metal et hardcore. Acid Techno et Hard Techno sont les genres que Adrenalin joue le plus souvent, mais il aime bien jouer un peu de progressif quand le moment est plus opportun. Si 'il mix passion et puissance dans son set de techno qui ''buche'' ou si il ammène la foule dans un voyage de sons deep et progressif, Adrenalin va vous en donner autant que vous en voulez...et plus encore L'amour que Adrenalin a pour Montréal a donné le privilège a Route 66 d'etre le promoteur de rue exclusif aux Etats-Unis et agent de billets pour Sweet Leaf Productions. Sweet Leaf, dirigé par DJ Indica ( Luc L'Heureux) sont des vétérans de la scène électronique au Canada et on travaillé avec les meilleurs de l'industrie, incluant DDR et Chris Liberator. Une très bonne amitié s'est développé et plusieurs opportunités sont maintenant possible. La passion pour la musique et l'art du DJing vont donner le focus et le dévouement à l'équipe de Route 66 pour tout les projets à venir. Le futur semble très prometteur dans le nord-est !
