Brainfreeze [ Static Link : iAppel ]
Ville:Canada, Ontario, Ottawa
Temps:Sat 1 Sep, 2007 @ 11:00pm till Sun 2 Sep, 2007 @ 8:00am
Description:Similar to Raverquest, but at The Putting Edge, and with even bigger DJs, more lights, more art, and all sorts of merchandise available.

There are still an extra couple of goodies that we want to bring out for this event, so keep your eye on the listing for a couple of nice additions as time goes on. We'll have flyers and tickets out in time for Hard As Fuck: Ground Zero. (Printed flyers by Aug 4th).

The primary feature of this night is the 18-hole pure UV reactive artistic miniputt course that takes up half the space in the building. Every light beam in this building is a UV beam. The tables, the air hockey, the golf balls... Everything is UV reactive. With entry, you will get to play as much miniputt as you want, in teams/groups, individually, in competition, or in fun.

(Note, in the video they mention something about groups of 12-120, that video however is of a different The Putting Edge location. The one in Ottawa is not only larger, but nicer as well.)

To go along with all of this fun, we are bringing in some friendly musicians from around the globe to show us some of their original productions, and featuring some great local talents.

:::: Dj Endo :::: [ www.djendo.com ] - Imported from Boston, USA
(Breakbeats)
With over 8 years experience behind the decks, and a lifetime background in music, Endo has made his name known worldwide and has become of the most demanded breaks DJ's in the industry, and a breaks ambassador to the world.

From smokey warehouse raves, to small clubs, to massive outdoor festivals, Endo always brings it like none other with his nonstop soundtrack of breaks from all over the spectrum.

On top of headlining raves, clubs and festivals all over the globe, Endo is also a hometown legend in Vermont for his Radio Show on 90.1 WRUV FM, "Graveyard Breaks", where he would do up to 8 hour marathon shows every week from midnight until 8AM, showing up with a carload of records and mixing non-stop and rocking the airwaves until the morning.

Besides DJing full time, Endo recently graduated from the top Music School in the USA, Berklee College Of Music, where he was classically trained and majored in Music Synthesis and Electronic Music Production. Endo used his classical training to create his own system of Harmonic DJ Mixing, which is the music theory behind Endo's party rocking. Endo's harmonic mixing is very evident in his latest DJ mixes.

In his years of DJing Endo has played alongside some of the most respected names in the Electronic Music industry such as: DJ Craze, Roc Raida, Snoop Doggy Dogg, DJ Monk from Rabbit in the Moon, DJ Hyper, Aut0bots, Screwface, Napt, Deekline & Wizard, Simply Jeff, J-break, DJ Quest, Jackyl and Hyde, Deep Impact, Ed 209, Control Z, Goldie, Hive, DJ Icey, Baby Anne, General Midi, Ried Speed, Influenza, Bassnectar, Danny the Wildchild, Donald Glaude, DJ Funk, Anabolic Frolic, Adam X, Space Girl, D:Fuse, Micro, John B, Lenny Dee, Delta 9, Rob Gee, Dave the Drummer, and many more.

This man used to be a resident DJ alongside with Jamie C at L'after for years. He is most recently known for his stellar extended performance at Techno Church 2, doing what many have considered to be the best closing set ever heard at a rave.

:: SeismoLogick :: Imported from Montreal (Undergrinding) tag set with :: Rob Black :: (Underdog Entertainment)
(Electrobass - Breakbeats)

After 10 years of electronic rythms as a listener and as a freak/addict dancer, SeismoLogick was touched by the sound of the Breaksbeat. In 2005 she took her passion up to the next level by starting to mix vinyl. Since then, she's been living and breathing music. She’s down with atmospheric melodies who takes you to the next levels. SeismoLogick like her breaks served WELL DONE, with kicking electric and STRONG BASELINE by moment and with some funky, d&b, electro or acid flavors. Beats with soul and structure!!!

SeismoLogick is derived from these two worlds : Seismic and Logic. Seismic, illustrate the vibrant feeling that a good bass make you feel, the energy coming from it and sake you from the inside. Logick to refer to all the technical aspect of the music (structure and composition) as well as the complexity of the art of djing. Seismologik is surrounded and supported by lots of Montreal DJs/producers, and is an active member of the electronic music scene.

These two met this year down in Miami, Florida during the Winter Music Conference, regarded as one of the largest annual breaks parties, pulling in over 50 000 people a night with the largest rosters imaginable.

Rob Black is the man who is putting this night together. He's been DJing out at local high profile events since "Village of the Damned" in 2004. He has just recently begun releasing productions independently under his moniker "RBK", and as a special treat the first track played at Brainfreeze will be an original anthem. Trends of his music while djing include: acid effects, high-pass filters, cut-up vocals, dirty basslines, occasionally mixing on three turntables and small amounts of turntablism.

:: MC Nickoblee! ::
Get ready for some of the quickest rhymes and best routines in the business, MC Nickoblee promises his most dramatic performance yet for Brainfreeze.

Additionally, we will be having some artists displaying their talents.
