Now that La Boom has latched onto dubstep, and they're using it in commercials aimed at 10 year olds, maybe we can get back to raves and parties having UNDERGROUND music once again. |

 Coolness: 158645 | this teddy bear commercial is European... i mean it's been decade now that electronic music in general is part of cultural mainstream there.. i mean i saw European gigs (festival, rave, show/club) being paid via gov. checks like years and years ago. i'm really not surprised to see that commercial, are you? Dubstep is far from being an extreme type of music, of course it would become a fad fashion.
hahaha forget about underground... in this day and age.. with the internet and all... shit spreads like an arson fire. underground is like an utopia i mean humans are biologically wired to copy, assimilate, follow etc etc and probably at the end ..destruct. don't you remember the passage in the book (or movie) "the beach" when he's dancing in a "rave" in Thailand? anyway that would best describe it. some people in america have this view about electronic music and i think they become confused.. their world view about electronic music revolve around what they seen and read on the internet and what they live in their own cultural set-up(like that plur thingy)... or the place they experience the music that is the suburbian basement of a friend or their own city clubs/events..etc but yeah..of course i can understand the negative feeling of seeing something that one love becoming adulterated and spread vulgarly to the masses.. |
