ha totally not, especially coming from a country with family name gymnastics that has no sound meaning after 4-5 generations , esp why would they want to include the gender specification in their lastname simply means they prolly inbreeded the gnome pool a little too much. why else

Naming

In Russian-speaking countries, people are supposed to name their children after their father, "otchestvo". Girls' middle names are their fathers name plus a feminine ending of either "evna" or "ovna." Boys have their father's name as well, with a masculine ending added of either "evich" or "ovich." These endings are called "otchestva". Girls' have their father's last name, and most of the time to make it feminine they add an "a" to their father's last name. Boys also carry their fathers name, no ending is added. Also, there are last names which do not have different endings for both male and female last names come from other countries, such as "Glushko", "Vasserman".

EXAMPLE:

Father: Nikolai Alexandrovich Romanov
Daughter: Anastasia Nikolaevna Romanova
Son: Alexei Nikolaevich Romanov

but i still respect its their historical values and oughta keep them in whatever they call russia or people relating to theses, hey i relate to a lot of cultures , but doesnt mean imma take everything they toss at me

now , this sound to me like some kind of internationnal economy tax evation ploy to send the whole world economy an other 600 years back from unsyncin' with countries that dont comply . if its that useless why was it introduced in the first place . and if its that useless why would you want to change it.

we are kids from the future timed by the clocks of our computers , and nuclear , you first should know computers dont always calculate things in the real world quite rite , example being tax again. pointing at roundoff errors exactly.

now i like to claim noon being noon with the sun straight in the middle by average, thats the true definition of noon , internationnaly and since humans has started to time with the sun. you time with the sun not some bogus computer somewhere. so how will it be , how will you arbitrary draw witch of the 365-/+ days in the year has the true noon ?

imo not looking further about the implications of this and its historical content is way more stupid that the daylight saving itself.

Daylight saving time
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search
A map showing countries that use daylight saving. DST used DST no longer used DST never used

Daylight saving time (DST) is the local time adopted by many countries during summer. Typically, clocks are adjusted by moving the time forward by one hour in late winter or early spring. When DST ends in autumn, clocks are turned back to their the normal time.

DST was introduced in many countries to use the extra daylight available during summer. DST helps stores that sell to people after they get off work, but it hurts farmers and others whose hours are set by the sun. It cuts traffic accident rates. Sometimes it can reduce energy costs, but it can also increase them.

The United States, Australia (not Queensland or Western Australia), the United Kingdom, Canada and many other countries have DST. In Europe, DST is called summer time. Iceland is the only country in Europe without DST.

if , though , they propose a sun tracking timing daily system i woudnt be all against it. but again , sending everybody 600 years backwards for no fucking sound reason, if you need accuracy that much you should be playing with satellites and thats about it.

what next , claim christianic calender is b.s. shure it is , but rebooting the whole system wont do shit except taking people away from looking into more seriously sound activities they should be doing , one being not doing war ( playing with internationnal time and statuquo usually is an act of war ) , and search into cancer cures , aids cures , or fucking farming in africa, not going fucking accountant and going back on a number everybody sat their mind on.

President Medvedev has announced that Russia will not come off daylight saving time starting autumn 2011. Medvedev argued that switching clocks twice a year is harmful for people’s health and triggers stress.

DST observed
DST no longer observed
DST never observed

Half the planet either stopped observing it or never have.

As per Wikipedia :

Modern DST was first proposed by the New Zealand entomologist George Vernon Hudson, whose shift-work job gave him leisure time to collect insects, and made him aware of the value of after-hours daylight. In 1895 he presented a paper to the Wellington Philosophical Society proposing a two-hour daylight-saving shift, and after considerable interest was expressed in Christchurch, New Zealand he followed up in an 1898 paper. Many publications incorrectly credit DST's invention to the prominent English builder and outdoorsman William Willett, who independently conceived DST in 1905 during a pre-breakfast ride, when he observed with dismay how many Londoners slept through a large part of a summer day. An avid golfer, he also disliked cutting short his round at dusk. His solution was to advance the clock during the summer months, a proposal he published two years later. The proposal was taken up by the Liberal Member of Parliament Robert Pearce, who introduced the first Daylight Saving Bill to the House of Commons on 12 February 1908. A select committee was set up to examine the issue, but Pearce's bill did not become law, and several other bills failed in the following years. Willett lobbied for the proposal in the UK until his death in 1915.

Starting on 30 April 1916, Germany and its World War I allies were the first to use DST (ger.: Sommerzeit) as a way to conserve coal during wartime. Britain, most of its allies, and many European neutrals soon followed suit. Russia and a few other countries waited until the next year and the United States adopted it in 1918. Since then, the world has seen many enactments, adjustments, and repeals.

Today, in the 21st century, do we still need this ? Do we need more sunny hours in the summer to collect insects ? Do we care ( or is it our busniess ) if Londoners are too shitfaced to get up in the morning ? Should we give a shit about that extra hour for golfers ?

It just serves to confuse us twice a year for no good reason and make us late for work because most of our electronic equipments can't deal accurately with the time change and your alarm clock rings too late or too early.

Otherwise, what ? It's fun to have an extra hour of sun during the winter time ? Who cares ? It's winter, it's supposed to be dark early, that's how it's been for thousands of years before we started doing that retarded "savings time" shit. An hour of sun less a day isn't going to change much in terms of winter depression... you'll still get it ANYWAY.

If half the planet is able to do without, why the fuck can't we ?
I'm feeling [__insert emotion here__] right now..
