Osx 10.5 Leopard Install Dvd?

I'm still using my old ibook power pc G4 with OSX 10.4 Tiger. Unfortunately MAC no longer really supports my OS anymore, and my recent iphone upgrade requires 10.5 min to work also :( I have found the torrent for the dmg, but again problematic, since I don't have a dvd burner on this laptop either....So anyone out there that could help a brother out? |

 Coolness: 131535 | i gotz 10.6.3 , think the dvd got scratch after i figured out mac hardware test cant event prompt harddisk failiurs .
i had to boot xp in that intel imac to finnaly get an error msg for the harddrive state. even fsck_l somthing wasnt outputing message. my backtrack linux' filled up the whole /var/log . and actually prompted the drive failiures. so by all means ill give it to you free once im in mtl , i dont take that system seriously anymore cause of all that. its beautifull ill give you that , but wow again about mac not able to prompt error msg on a harddrive with bad clusts. |

| Coolness: 83815 | I just did a quick look around and the only disks i can find are for snow leopard and tiger...
I know i have the upgrade dvd somewhere cuz it came with my imac shipped with it in the box. So I'll do a better look around this week if you don't find it sooner. but seriously... leopard is a very heavy upgrade for a g4 and it's probably going to put some serious lag on your system. not mention... it takes a fuck ton worth of hard drive space (install is at least 10 gigs!!!) and it's not as solid as tiger or snow leopard. in otherwords... what may be great for you iphone... may not be so great for your lappy. and on a side note... if your iphone isn't a 3GS or higher... DON'T INSTALL IOS4!!! at least until there is a update that fixes the lag issues. and even then, the older hardware still won't be able to handle IOS4's more advanced functions (like multi tasking) and they will be disabled by default on the 3G model. anyway... i at least hope your not rocking this thing...  |

| Coolness: 103195 | Haha. Nope not that old. I have more than enough disk space, gonna do an erase an install and then just migrate what I need back over. Clean up time. And the processor and ram on my iBook are more than enough to run leopard. Had this lappy since 2004 it's gonna be upgrade time soon anyway. And yeah DO NOT UPGRADE TO IOS4 on a 3G iPhone. It's an apple scam. My old iPhone is slow as fuck now, wifi doesn't work anymore, it freezes all the time hence the hardware upgrade. |

| Coolness: 131535 | i understand you probably have your reasons for running that os on many levels
you could also opt for a live distro of kenoppix , gentoo or openbsd for ppc. the complete os is on the cd or dvd or whatever image. the gentoo/kenopix ones looks probably better than openbsd , but openbsd is the same when properly configured. |

| Coolness: 103195 | Been geekng out on this for a couple days but finally got it. Turns out couldn't just burn the fucking dmg as my combo drive don't read burned dl dvr's. Finally managed to get the installer and as such the entire os mounted to an external fw drive (cuz his Mac wOnt let you boot from USB ether). So at least now I have a fw dive with workng copies of tiger and leopard installers and os installed. Erase and clean installed and so far everything os working beautifully |

| Coolness: 103195 | Went through two different models of firewire drives tho, and almost just broke down and bought leopard for $130....Western Digital that I first found and was only like $90 wouldn't work as a boot drive Returned it and found a Lacie LIttle Disk at about the same price as OSX 10.5
