i agree that doing epic coalition at the techno parc is far from a good idea... Im sure we could find somewhere else to make it happen.. technoparc isnt fit for 200+ people, and it would be a very sad day if wed see that place burned.. the previous partys that happened there have allways been very small in attendees making it a sure shot at not being busted.. but having too many people walking around chilling + having too much of a big sound system would be the end of that place. Pour epic, j'ai pas encore dis mon dernier mot. Par contre, attaché votre tuque pour epic 2. Je ne me ferais pas prendre *2* fois, hahahaha sur un note plus tangible à propos de EPIC 3, le mondes veut que ca ait lieu! Mon msn, fb, email et teléphonne sont en feu depuis quelques heures. Donc, je cut un stage pour cette édition, ça fait du sens anyway, le 2 sera le dementiel après tout, c'est très tarantino. Or pour le 3, deux sons, endroit quelconque qui n'a jamais été utilisé, moi je viens de verdun-lasalle/st-henri, les spots, j'en connais. I'm going to keep burning locations cause moebius claims that's what I do... Ow and you keep saying BIG Sound System at the Techno Park, I don't know how many times I said a couple of speakers. That's not large... I remember you people having like 4 large speakers, maybe even 6... We don't need huge sound to have a party. |

Et ça nous ferait chier de devoir a notre tour galerer pour trouver (a nouveau) une place safe pour faire des frees cet été. |

| Coolness: 2603890 | I did the even at Des Carrieres cause a week before my event John told me they would be removing that brick floor in the main room on the weekend of my event at 3810. Because someone else was paying to remove it to do their party there.
So one week before my event, 3.5 months after I initially told John I was doing a party on May 1st (I told him a week after new years) he told me I could not do the event there at 3810 since the floor was being removed. Des Carrieres was my only option in a one week period for two rooms. I took it because I had no other options and I work all week so I can't start searching for location when I'm working. I didn't know at the time another party happened the weekend before where shit went down. 3810 does look a lot better without the brick floor... Too bad it's legal capacity is only 118 people using 2E and the large room. The good news is our security people (VCS Security) talked with the chief of police and as long as we have their security there, parties will not be shut down in that location as long as there is ABSOLUTELY no alcohol anywhere on site. Which is lame but otherwise even with one beer, the location becomes 118 people again for 2 rooms, or 59 per room. |

Because I'm not spending my time and energy anymore to throw a party in a legal space (paying party) without the proper permits... Especially after spending another 13,000$ on more speakers which I would like to pay back at some point.
I love big sound... BOOM BOOM... I will continue to do free events also no problems, but if I'm going to charge 20$, I want it to be legit from now on with the city... |

I do agree that people should go looking for new locations to throw parties. As it has been stated many times in this thread before, if we keep using the same venue/location over and over and over again, they will just be "burned" and we will not be able to go there anymore... And inevitably have nowhere to throw parties anymore. Perhaps you should postpone this party if you cannot find a location truly suitable for something of this magnitude... |
