I know a few people interested in raves, yet that know very little about it. So I figured that I could get some advice from you guys to pass onto them. Stuff like the best raves to hit, how to get into the spirit, good DJs to check out, how to put together a rave outfit, etc... whatever comes to mind. Thanks, Rammius |

Thanks, Rammius - fist, you don't hit raves, you mosey on up to them, and buy them a drink. (there must a law against hitting raves, 'cause every other time i do, the cops show up) - i don't recommend getting into spirits, stick with beer or some harder stuff, but that 90% alcohol shit is not good. in fact, you probably shouldn't be drinking for all of a 12 hour party anyway. - good DJs are a few and far between, so start with one you know, then check out every 4th DJ after that. (you can't go wrong with Mutante, so you can start from there). - rave outfits aren't put together, they're thrown together. - nothing else comes to mind. guess i've bammaged my drain with too many ravze. - now, gimme a joint and some techno and stfu. :P |

when I was going to rave, what i really liked about it was to be with my crew, getting shitfaced and dancing until our body would fall on the dancefloor then we would go to someone house, and chill all day, with crazy talking and non stop laughing it's crazy times like kids should have though like everything in life, abusing won't bring you anything good. so go crazy, but know your limit and keep some of your dignity |

You missed it. By about ten years. Since then it's been over-regulated and if it's actually trying to live up the image of a rave is so sketchy that you don't want to be anywhere near it. And if you want to get into it quickly, start acting jaded about it right away. Lament the good ol' days all you can, even though raves kind of always involved way too much of everything. And too much, it seems, is not enough. |
