Great to be sitting on a terrasse and hearing them jungle beats. Thanks to those that came out to celebrate the jungle. Big ups to Collin Sylex who put together some proper refixes just for the event. Nice up to my boy Recoil for getting the dancefloor kicking And DEBASER, such a pleasure to work with this guy, such a professional, and fuckin talented guy! Great 1 1/2 hour selection. THe man showed up and dropped his first plate at the precise moment he was booked to play...NO superstar attitude, didn't try to hustle for any extras, a true professional in every sense on the word. Other promoters should bring this man back!\ A special thanks to those that actually paid at the door, much appreciated. ********************************************************************************* And now for the rant! All those that think they for some reason don't need to pay, or deserve a break, or are just gonna sit on the patio and drink beer so you shouldn't have to pay, y'all can suck both my testicles! (the few on my personal guest list are clearly excluded from this rant) You come to the event, you are privy to the dj's on the bill and can hear the music, you pay point finale. Of course the doorman that Esco provided didn't do much to hinder this "phenomena" either, I saw him just waving people in. Us promoters go out of our way to bring quality dj's and producers to Montreal, and $5 (or $3 if you wearing CAMO) Criss c'est pas la fuckin mer a boire. Seriously!!!! There was more than enough people actually at the venue, there is no reason that this party didn't break even, throughout the nite I counted more than enough people, had EVERYONE actually paid their contribution to the event.....anyway I had a blast and again THANKS to everyone that came out to celebrate the event peu importe! I'm done for awhile tho, this event as much fun as I've had has left a very bitter/sour taste in my mouth. Y'all will see me occasionally on the dancefloor, but as for EZ events, I'm gonna sit back and reconsider my role as a promoter in this city. Peace people |

big up Collin Sylex for starting the night off. and big up Debaser, who I hadn't played a jam with or seen in about 5 years. as Craig said, he's an amazing DJ and producer and a class act. loved his set nice to see a couple new faces on the dancefloor too Craig I'm sorry to hear about all these people trying to get out of paying cover. that is severely irritating. I've encountered that problem before, doin little jams in Toronto at new venues. all the regulars show up and think they are VIPs who don't have to pay, and sometimes the staff will go along with that. but I was honoured to have come out and played for your b-day, AND you brought down Debaser, who has always been someone I rated very highly he's probably one of the nicest people I worked with in the Toronto scene. he could kill pretty much any sound, and yet doesn't bring any wanna-be rockstar douchebag attitude, as is often the case. so big the fuck up DB Vaig for bringing him to Montreal! hopefully you won't let this sour you off doin more quality jams like this at some point in the future respect! there were lots of peeps when i got there tho, and the sound was proper... i had a great time for my short stay, sorry to hear your thoughts on the overall result of the party, especially for your own b-day jam... def gonna bring you out for drinks soon man! |

In retrospect had I imposed my own doorgirl on Esco I'm willing to bet the door would have done better as stated I still had a wikkid fun time. Bass was boomin and the selectahs were on point. Should have waited a dayor 2 before ranting! I have a feeling there will be a jungle jam v.3.0 next june |
