 Coolness: 148125 | I miss it, I miss the fraktal. I know at the end we were are jaded and shit, but fuck, now i remember why I used to go at fraktal every week.
A lot of good memory are from there. my worst thing ive done there : a guy was sleeping on a couch, I asked all around (STRATEGICLY) ''IS THAT SIMON?'' people was like ''no, it's Alex'' -''OH ALEX SMITH?'' -'no, alex lapointe'' 15 mins later, the guy still sleeping and I ran at him with such energy, woke him and say''ALEX ?..'' ''hum, yes, what up ?'' ''YOU ARE ALEX LAPOINTE?'' ''yeah, why?'' ''YOUR MOM IS DOWNSTAIR, LOOKING FOR YOU ALL AROUND MAN!! I'M GLAD I FOUND YOU, LOOK URGENT'' and stuff... |

 Coolness: 2603925 | 12-16 people with 250$/month could probably rent a place that large... You can host 8 parties a month in theory... (8 weekend days a month). Charge people 500 to rent the place, you only need to rent it 4 times a month to make the money back... You can even rent it to other people for things also... It's really the initial couple of months you would loose till it's always probably rented... I'd put in 250$/month to a place I could rent every month to do a party in... |

Plus it was 5 corner near my place at the time. ..had little doubt in steph tho.. Anyway OUR place is gonna be WAY better!!! Im in big time for the rent. I'm thinking/talking about that since a while.. But we need to be like 8 ppl max{worry not we'll still make good money in no time;} ???Who's in??? |

 Coolness: 166485 | i love that people are trying for new venues, we need it, but if the place is not properly zoned, and once the cops become aware, which doesn't take too long, the place will not last more than 6 months, give or take a few weeks.
i hate to shit on the parade, but this happens every year. what we really need is a large venue with many rooms (for variety) that is at least semi-official. this venue issue has to be taken up with the city, otherewise, whether you like it dirty underground or not, any place used more than 5 times is destined to be fucked (yes yes, there are exceptions). not a naysayer (well...) but from experience and from just having witnessed, if you invest in a sketchy illegal venue, make sure you put a little aside for your tombstone...and make sure it reads: ''here lies such and such, he tried, but not hard enough'' ... but hey, do what you want, we need renegade venues, we need places to play the hard shit they won't play anywhere else!! (if you don't believe me about venue-crib-death, re: FRACTAL) :P |
