STOCKHOLM, Sweden - A Swedish court of appeal on Tuesday sentenced a 27-year-old man to 18 months in prison for trying to make his girlfriend miscarry by mixing abortion pills in her food. The man, who was not named for legal reasons, had his jail term increased from a previous one-year sentence set by a district court in June. In its ruling, the Court of Appeal for Western Sweden found the man guilty of aggravated assault for attempting to make his girlfriend of eight years miscarry by giving her a yogurt containing three ground-up pills. The sentence also included a more minor count of assaultThe court documents said the woman had decided to have the baby even though he felt he was not ready to be a father. The man ordered some pills on the Internet and fooled his doctor into prescribing others for another condition. The woman ate the yogurt and suffered severe stomach pains and vaginal bleeding. When she later realized what she had eaten, she decided to have an abortion, fearing that the fetus had been damaged by the pills. The defendant's lawyer, Lars Boberg, said his client would most likely appeal the ruling. |

 Coolness: 165550 | He was a jerk to have done that, but thing is maybe he used a condom, it is not 100% sure. If he was not ready to have a child, why did she decide to keep it anyways? Of course he could have left her but she would have had him pay for the baby.
It's awfull, I have discussed this issue more than once but what is a man's options in case of something like this happening? Seriously, is there any way that if he did use protection, he has no responsability? Otherwise, it's not freakin fair!! |

if he was that concerned about being a father he could have been more careful haveing sex and she should have known he wasn't ready and been more careful as in take the pill or if she wasn't that sure if she would have gooten pregnant the morning after pill there are alot of options in this lifetime maybe 20-30 years ago no but now yes.... |

Je suis pas d'accord avec comment il a agit, certainement pas, criss de cave. Mais un homme à autan son mot à dire que la femme lorsque celle ci tombe enceinte. c'est son bébé aussi, c'est juste pas lui qui le porte. Si il dit à la fille qu'il ne veut pas du bébé, la fille doit pensé à ça. Elle ne peut pas décidé de le garder égoïstement juste parce que ELLE a veut. Et rendu là, si le gars à été claire qu'il n'en voulait pas pour X raison et que elle stupidement décide de le garder même si l'enfant va naitre sans père, j'imagine qu'il pourrait "signer" une attente comme quoi l'homme n'est pas/plus responsable de cet enfant. Comme ça la fille pourra pas l'attaquer 10 ans plus tard pour quetter de l'argent au gars qui en voulais pas et elle comme ça elle pourra le garder. |
