"-I would describe it as history.
-History? How could it be history? There were only 42 people at the gig.
-Well what difference does that make? How many people were at the last supper?
-Twelve. Well, uh thirteen if you include Jesus, but it's not historically documented.
-In other words not many. How many people were at the murder of Julius Caeser?
-I dunno Tony, you tell me.
-Five. So shut up then."

Just don't fucking give up man... the party, regardless of attendence, was awesome... It takes guts to go out and do a party that mixes 4 types of music in a fucking town where the techtrance scene wont mix with the full-on psytrance scene but what you're doing is for all the rave scenes to grow...

big up man, big up

I also had a lot of fun regardless of how many people there were, I 've met a lot of very nice people... always remember that quality is better than quantity, :)

My question is how does a jam with like... 45 people attending end up with like... 5? Good tunes, nice downtown venue... just nobody coming out... makes me sad...

everyone was outside smoking all night thats why. everywhere across the city at every bar and every party over 1/2 of the people will always be outside. when i got to the party there were at least 20-30 people outside.. people still attend but they just stay outside all night. three of my friends never even came into the party once they just stayed outside all night. damn smokers! kill em all! *cough cough hack hack *

its 100% normal that there was next to nobody at this party, and at all the rest of the parties that are going down this summer..

Montreal promotors think they can throw 5 parties per year and get 200+ people at all of them.. well, the honest truth is, its the opposite that happens.. why ?? because people get tired, there are always better, more important parties to do, and when there isn't a party, its nice to take some sun and not go out for a change. With a HUGE party like Hard as Fuck coming up, people are saving themselves for that party, regardless of the rest.. just look at the turnout of Nostalgia. It had a fairly low attendance if you think of how packed the others were.. even rewire had about 100 people less than last year and i only throw 1-2 parties a year.

Just check the [ rave.ca ] calander and you'll see that everyone's throwing a party this summer.. EVERYONE !! And it has nothing to do with price either nor the line-up, nor the location.

Think about it..

there was Revival two weeks ago, about two weeks before that it was Tw2, last week was nostalgia, now this week's party, next week is St-jean and all there parties, the week after that Omar's in town, then a few weeks after that its Sysmic Breeze, then Pootie Tek, then Eclipse, then Shooting Star , then then then,,. and the list goes on..

we are tired i guess..

just to be clear, this message is general and has nothing to do with Dave or should be directed at Dave in anyway.. its just been this way for about 4 years now.. like Seb said, its really hard throwing parties in the summer because its so nice outside and because there many really important events to save up for such as Eclipse and Samadhi.. :)

Best of luck Dave and concentrate on TW3 !!
