 Coolness: 73405 | I want to get rid of the black in my hair and go back to my natural red. Is there a way (besides bleach or growing it out) I can get rid of it? it is not actually black now it is a dark dark brown because the black faded.
I might go to Tornade to do the job because its cheap. I usually go to Oblic to do my hair but I think they charge a lot for coloring... |

 Coolness: 128630 | Try a mix of 1/4 cups of Ammonia, vinigar, tomato juice 2 table spoons of citric acid as well as a dab of toothpaste (only crest with whitening)... Mix it all in a bowl, then add your hair to the mixture. Wait 15 minutes then wash off in the shower. make sure to use conditionner after.

 Coolness: 43860 | you can look up some natural herbal remidies that im sure are effective. plants are amazing and can be very powerful. you can just google it i guess. if you wanna dye it a natural red you can try henna dye, at least it'll look more red than black.... no matter what though, you're gorgeous, even if u were bald! |

its'not a bleach : it's less strong! and it's supose to erase the die not the original pigmentation of the hair... i have an other idea but i'm not sure: have u try the hene? naturel red are rare.. and people who die red their hair never have realy the skin complexion...u are lucky ! |

So I guess I gotta spend the big bucks to do so at a salon...oh well!! BETTY HAZE, I never heard of that stuff...I wonder if it would work..my hair is pretty subborn..LOL |

 Coolness: 33650 | i had that same problem.. i bleached it twice in a week then dyed it.. ash blonde to take the orange out and then it turns kinda grey but then u can dye it red but dont dye it red if ur hair turns orange it'll be all weird and steaky.. but ya no other ideas other than bleach! |

as someone with fake black hair, i know how big a deal a situation like yours can be. first of all, bleach is a lightner made to strip hair of any and all pigment. what you need is a 'décapant'. there are products on the market that are made to work the chemical pigment of the hair dye that you have put on your hair (in your case the black) and slowly strip and ligten the hair. to not damage your hair too much, you can use this product first with water and work it through your hair, then a second time for a greater effect with a low peroxide. because this is a game of chemistry, i would leave it up to a professional. luckily for you, you are wanting to reach a red. Red is the hardest color to get out of your hair. when your hair is black, and you lighten it either with bleach or you decap your black to go lighter, it will always lighten through a color scale of red to copper to golden. i would say that with a décapant with peroxide you should be able to remove the black, lighten to a shade or two lighter and then apply the red. i would strongly suggest investing in a good reconstructive treatment to repair the damage done on your hair right after. a job like this can be tricky, and when we're dealing with chemistry going to the cheaper salon isn't always the safest bet (STAY AWAY FROM GHETTO TORNADE!). you have a large cortex to your hair and a very thick texture which means it can be more resistant then someone with thin straight hair. get it done right and once. i can't wait to see you with the red, i think i've pretty much always known you with the black. msg me if you need any help luv x0x0x |
