Cet évènement est adapté de l’oeuvre centrale, l’exposition photographique Icônes / Iconoclastes de Wayne Schoenfeld, artiste photographe américain reconnu internationalement. Après plusieurs présentations aux États-Unis et une exposition privée au Cirque du Soleil, les 38 oeuvres de la collection sont dévoilées pour la première fois publiquement au Canada.Tableaux vivants, les compositions de Wayne Schoenfeld s’inspirent de l’univers à la fois ludique et étrange du cirque nord-américain des années 1930, de ses figures emblématiques et environnements pléthoriques. Une installation multidisciplinaire complétera l’exposition photographique. Transportée par l’univers fantasmagorique du cirque, elle prendra la forme d’une fresque vivante animée par les performances d’artistes de cirque: jongleurs,acrobates, échassiers… Dj’s et Vj’s compléteront la scène artistique, travaillant avec des matériaux sonores et visuels autour de cette thématique. La partie Vjing sera assurée par Athanore, duo de création visuelle reconnu sur la scène montréalaise, et partenaire de l’évènement.
