| Please note that I pay quite a bit of money to run this unique OPEN SOURCE site (over 240$/month, which is 1/8th of my monthly income) and spend hundred of hours coding it (over 64 hours a month: worth about 2,560$/month minimum). I offer all this to you people for free. If tons of people from the site attend one of your events I expect a free entrance to it since there is no doubt that there will be hundreds of photos and videos (many of them from my camera) which I host here for free from the event.
If someone were to give out 5,000 flyers for an event would you not happily let them in? If someone were to sell even 25 tickets for your event would you not do the same. Every view of an event is in theory equivalent to at least 20 flyers given to people. Why 20? Because the people here are interested in what you have to offer. Most flyers you give out end up in the garbage. Advertising the site with pins and stickers (which is not free either) helps you guys out also! It's a give and take situation here. I don't ask for much, I barly even ask to bring another person in with me which means 90% of the time I go to events alone.
If I do not agree with something, do not have a green card to attend your event or if you talk shit about me to someone else then then you should not advertise on this site for free. No doubt I can remove your event, your posts and all the free advertising I give out for whatever reason I feel. This it not aimed at anyone in particular, it's aimed at everyone. If you don't like the rules, not my problem. |
