IN AGREEMENT WITH EDITORIAL ON DRUGS

I read "We Say" on Thursday ("Drugs: illegal for a reason") and am, of
course, totally in agreement. Sometimes my views may be taken as being a
bit extreme but having been in the Salvation Army for this many years,
"we" see some of the damage caused by alcohol abuse and drug abuse.

I don't know if our society can survive the onslaught facing us with
drug abuse. The quantity of pot grown and sold (just on its own) makes
one wonder, "Who is using all of it?"

Surgeries have been necessary to deal with Crohn's disease in my life.
The last thing I would have wanted to see would have been the surgeon
toking up or snorting cocaine just before I was put under.

I hope many of your readers take to heart what you folks
wrote.
