DAVEY DELPHI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(I luv is creations)

The earliest traces of a musical relationship between Adam Hodgins and Davey Lahteenmaa can be found during the summer of 2001. Then, it was in Nu-Skool Breaks' hometown of London, England where they found themselves flatmates with Mark Ford, then a Drum and Bass fiend who's since found his fame as the mighty 'Merka' of the current breaks world.

Prior to this, Davey had been a founding member of the venerable CEP crew in Thunder Bay, Ontario, bringing the electronic sounds from Minneapolis, Winnipeg and Toronto to the Northwest as early as 1997. He had been faithfully following the Breaks genre since the summer of 1998 when, after hearing DJ Icey on the infamous Soundburnt "Wall of Sound" in Minneapolis, he had found the style that he would support to this day. After finishing a degree in music where he specialized in piano performance and composition, he moved to England to teach and enjoy the fruits of a mature club culture in the company of new found friends, Adam Hodgins and Mark Ford.

In 2001, Adam and Mark were both students of Sound at Middlesex University in London, then and still the center of Drum and Bass music. Already, the two future engineers were co-collaborators in that genre, producing a number of tunes together.

The arrival of Davey onto the scene, as well as a later friendly association with Glen Nichols, aka Future Funk Squad, introduced the two to a variety of music that would be everlasting. The three beat lovers enjoyed over a year of amazing shows and musical creativity during which they continued to produce music in the styles of Breaks, Drum and Bass and even Booty until, at the end of 2002, the three split ways to pursue their own goals. Delphi went off to work in the beach-laden Bahamas while Cyprus and Merka completed their degrees in beat-filled Britania.

The current chapter in the biography of Cyprus and Delphi began when the two relocated themselves to Montreal. There, Davey found Adam, who had been finely honing his skills in production and engineering under the guise of 'Sabola', [ www.sabola.com ] the maker of discerning electronic music. Spurred on by the success of Mark Ford, [ www.merka.co.uk ] as well as the djing endeavors of long-time CEP partners Jeff Dubois and Dave Shaw, [ www.attitudecity.com ] in Minneapolis and Montreal respectively, the two made their first plans to dedicate themselves to the production of high-quality breaks. Since the summer of 2006, the two have been keeping up a stringent schedule of production. While the creation of new music is at the forefront of their labor of love, dissemination of their music through the internet and djing ensures that the world can relish in the tuneful melodies and speaker-shattering basslines which Cyprus and Delphi know for which the shrewd dance-music lover hungers!

for your info...

Ghettotech :

a form of electronic dance music originating from Detroit. It combines elements of Chicago's ghetto house with electro, hip hop, techno, and grafts the perceived raunch of Miami Bass as the vocal stamp of the music. It is usually faster than most other dance music genres, at roughly 145 to 170 bpm , and features often pornographic lyrics.

The spelling and indeed the use of the word "Ghettotech" is contentious, although Disco D is credited with developing the term during his days as a teenager on the scene.[1] Other spellings include Ghetto Tech, GetoTek, Ghettotec, and other names include Detroit Bass (sharing the title with Detroit area Electro), Booty Bass (sharing the title with Miami Bass), and Booty Music (an umbrella term under which the genre falls).

The Ghettotech style was created by a few DJs and producers mostly working in Detroit, with a strong influence from Miami Bass and continuing influence from Chicago's ghetto house. It has existed in Detroit since approximately 1994.

Some GhettoTech artists are Mr. 'De and Electrofunk Records, Bass 305, DJ Assault, DJ Godfather, Big Daddy Rick, DJ Bam Bam, The Detroit Grand Pubahs, and DJ Funk.
