First, drugs is a part of raves. A lot of people at raves are taking some drugs, my question is, why do you guys take drugs? What does it change?

------ Straight off the bat a lot of people are going to tell you that drugs are not that big of a deal within the nightlife culture.. well those people are either full of shit, plain ignorant or advocate to give the rave scene that beautiful image of love & sobriety to reassure society that there is nothing to be feared about by letting your 16 y/o daughter attempt an event. Well .. no ..Drugs are & were a "huge" part of the nightlife culture since even before the disco years ..and why not ? They keep you up, full of energy, puts you in a state of euphoria that make you feel like you're on top of the world, and can turn the most reserved / shy person into a party animal (I'm talking about drugs in general here.. not stating one in particular..) Let's not kid ourselves, people do drugs because they are fun .. dangerous yes!.. But fun nonetheless regardless what people say. It is up to the individuals to set themselves limits.

Secondly, why are you going to raves?

------- Well, there are many reasons why a person would attempt an event, I would say that the most popular would be because it just feels like night long party filled with music they really enjoy, surrounded with people that share common interests (Maybe an specific artist playing for example). I suppose that some people are taking it to an other level, celebrating a spiritual state of mind .. but I am not going to elaborate to much on that one ..

What is the difference between raves and clubs, what are the mains reasons that make you go to raves?

-------- In a nutshell, raves a more liberal (free minded).. Clubs on the other hand are perceived as more conservatives (within the scene) and often considered as more glamorous.. (Rest assure that look's can be rather deceiving on this matter.. Speaking from experience I've seen more sad sight in clubs then in raves. )

Hope this helps !
