Now sponsored by Kikwear Industries!

Thirteen years ago, a rave company comprised of 3 friends with a dream was born. The dream was to bring some of the best DJ talent to Ottawa to play at shows that would be remembered for years to come. In November of 1999, the first Euphoria took place and brought with a vibe that set the tone for every Synergy party to come after. Euphoria 3 will be remembered by some as being one of the first free 16+ all night events ever done in downtown Ottawa. Euphoria 7 wa
s one of the first few events to be done at Café Dekcuf. We might not have been able to do a party each year, but damnit, we tried! Now, like all good things, this series must come to an end. Of course we gotta do it in style, though! In true Euphoria tradition, we are going to bring you some truly amazing talent comprising of world class headliners, amazing up-and-comers and some of the BEST Ottawa has to offer.

So, in the end, do you go to HEAVEN OR HELL? You decide at the FINAL EUPHORIA!

CLSM (a.k.a. John Doe) [Breakbeat Hardcore] UK - [ CLSM.net ]

CLSM aka Jon Doe Started mixing in 1992 and in 1995 became involved in the studio above the record shop 'Movement' in Southampton. A string of Hardcore releases followed including setting up 'No Trix' in 1998. Later in 1998 Jon Doe became the resident engineer at Alphamagic distribution and recorded many hard dance tracks including the first 9 Mohawk records. In 1999 Jon started working independently for labels run by Infexious distribution and also set up labels such as 'D' and 'Toast' records and co-owned label UK Hard with Billy 'Daniel' Bunter whilst also working on Bunters 'Honeypot' label. Reming for Tidy Trax, Tripoli Trax and major labels such as BMG, Ministry of Sound and Virgin soon followed.

In 2002 it was time to find something new to do. Hiding under the guise of 'CLSM' to avoid any prejudice and focus on the music, the label kicked off and soon gained album licenses from the restarting 'Bonkers' series and Ministry of Sound's 'Decedance' series. In 2003 CLSM started a campaign to get hard dance and hardcore on Radio1. This resulted in a monthly show on Radio1 which became weekly, naming Dj Kutski to fill the roll. In 2005 'Hardcore Classics' was recorded in the CLSM studio and became the biggest selling hardcore compilation of all time. In 2006 CLSM made a TV show for Sky called 'Underground' featuring Hardcore, Hard Dance, Drum and Bass and Old Skool in 13 half hour shows. Again focussing on new music, Hard Dance was fused with with Hardcore to create 'Hardscape' and CLSM created a TV advertised compilation for CYFI Media called 'Hardcore Revolution'. It went to number 26 on the album chart with the Hardscape disc mixed by Dj Cotts on YouTube. Currently the main CLSM output is 'Breakbeat', releasing 3 tracks every week from CLSM artist tracks and other artists contributions from the likes of Gammer, Al Storm, Dean Anthony and more. CLSM has always been at the cutting edge of hardcore music. Be sure not to miss him at this EXCLUSIVE OTTAWA SET.

hey all. thanks for getting back to me. I'm not really that interested in throwing a rave in montreal, but rather just working out some gigs and flight share opportunities.

also good to hear that Project Mayhem is coming back :-)

So I get a feeling this won't end well but I want to know who in Montreal or Quebec City is still booking shows that feature hard trance, hard house, hardstyle or hardcore DJs?

I have a lot of plans for shows in Ottawa over the next year bringing in some big names and if there any Montreal / QC promoters who might be interested in doing some flight shares.

So if you have any shows coming up in the next year and you book hard dance, send me an email at tamerax@tamerax.com so I can add you to the list of Montreal promoter contacts.

Thanks :)

Hey all, I'm selling some gear that someone in Montreal (or around) might be interested in.

Roland TD-20K V-Drum Kit - Barely Used.

Originally paid $6100 + shipping + taxes + duties
Asking: $4600 + shipping (if applicable) - Negotiable

This kit was purchased in 2007 and has been used less than 20 hours total. All the pads are in perfect condition. The cymbals pad a have a few scuff marks on them but very minor.

I'm selling these because I simply never have to time use them and they are taking up a lot of space in a small room. They are the Cadillac of electric drums and really deserve to be owned by someone who will use them.

The package included everything that came when I bought it new. That includes all the manuals and the DVD. I don't have the original boxes though.

Note that the kick drum pedal, snare stand, and hi-hat stand not included in the sale. Those were purchased separately.

BTW, this thing makes for a hell of a MIDI controller! :D

---------------

Details:

With the V-Pro Series TD-20K, Roland improves upon the industry-standard V-Drums by starting from the ground up. At the heart of this flagship set is the TD-20 module with new sounds and functions, superb expressiveness and in-depth V-Editing. The patented mesh pads now feature great dynamic range and natural rim shot triggering, along with a new look and stunning black finish. The TD-20K also features Roland's amazing new V-Hi-Hat and a new drum stand designed to hide the cabling. With this powerful new combination of pads and hardware, the TD-20K lets drummers express themselves more naturally and with more realism than ever before!

- Flagship V-Drums kit with new TD-20 sound module, improved mesh-head V-Pads, highly acclaimed V-Cymbals and innovative new V-Hi-Hat for complete playability

- TD-20 Percussion Sound Module with over 500 new sounds, improved dynamics and sensitivity, plus CompactFlash storage and V-LINK*

- 15 dual-trigger inputs, 10 audio outputs and digital output, 8 group faders and built-in sequencer, Mastering Room and more

- All-new V-Editing includes modeled snare buzz, kick beater selection, and greater cymbal customizing (i.e. size, “sizzle,” mic positions)

- New PD-125BK (12”) and PD-105BK (10”) dual-trigger V-Pads feature better dynamic response, more even and accurate head/rim triggering and rim shot capability on toms

- New VH-12 V-Hi-Hat with two cymbals for full motion capability and natural feel

- Ergonomically designed MDS-20BK Drum Stand with more durable hardware, sleek raked design, easier vertical adjustment and ability to hide cables

- Expansion slot for future upgrades and enhancements
---------------------------------------

ROLAND MKS-50 Rackmount Synth Module
(Rackmount version of the Alpha Juno)

Asking: $150 negotiable

Roland MKS-50 rackmount unit in very very good shape...This auction also includes the two prong special power cable. It doesn't have the original manual (it can be found and printed off the net very easily) nor the original box.

A nice synthesizer module from the mid-80s, this is the rack version of the Alpha-Juno 1 and 2 synthesizers. The MKS-50 is a six-voice polyphonic programmable synthesizer module, featuring a poly mode and a solo mode (that at the time was in vogue to use with a MIDI guitar - so that each string had one voice and MIDI channel - this was before the current crop of MIDI guitar interfaces).

The MKS-50 can store up to 128 "tones", which in turn can combined with performance control functions into "patches". There's also a useful "chord" function (when you press one key, a whole chord will sound) that techno/house artists of all kinds used and abused during the early 90s: there are 16 programmable spots for these chords although the factory-programmed ones are some of the most used.

The sound character of this series of synths is a cross between the Juno and MKS synthesizers - although I think it tends to sound more like a JX-8P, JX-10 or MKS-70 than a Juno-106, for example. The tone is silky and lush, but with some programming it can definitely sound huge and nasty, as the most famous sound in these synth, the "What The" preset that was tweaked and used for the famous "Hoover" sound, demonstrates well.

I was the second owner of this synth and used it for maybe a total 1-2 hours since I bought it a couple fo years ago. Before that, I was told the unit was used sparingly. All the times it's been in a smoke free studio.

He’s produced countless original songs, remixed and engineered some of the biggest names in the scene such as CLSM, Sc@r, Uplift, Impact, Seduction, S3RL, Robbie Long and Gammer. His tracks appear on major hardcore labels and are played by djs all over the world. When he’s not busy in the studio, he’s playing his blend of hardcore at events all across the globe.

We can count on him to play a great selection of tracks sure to drive the dance floor wild.

thanks for having me up.
i'm still debating about the fact that you convinced me to play hhc :-P ofcourse my headphones HAD to die partway through just to make it that much more fun (hence why the first hhc didn't get mixed for anyone who cares). oh goooood times. Kinda added to the weird sound issues already going on in that room. :( But thats wasn't the promoters fault at all.

The set that I enjoyed the most was Indica set. Played some badass oldschool acid techno (Unlucky Punk brough back great memories) and some classic hard trance.

Overall, I had fun. I wish I wasn't so tired but I did enjoy myself. I really hope the project mayhem boys don't retire. That would be a big loss to the mtl rave community.

Its not slow but I also wasn't playing at 150bpm except for mabey the very last 3-4 mins of the last song where i brought the pitch up.

I also said it was slow for me. I don't own anything under 140bpm that isn't hardstyle and I didn't think that would have gone over as well ;-)
