you guys are lucky in Montreal... or should i say Quebec in general.

Here in Alberta there's absolutly no laws on how much rent can be increased. Not much is being done about this despite the uproar by some activists... but this province is about economical progress.

So unless you're clean cut and very dependable. Nearly impossible to get relatively cheap rent. Right now I'm renting a room for cheap in a really nice house cause my land-lady is keeping the 3 houses that she owns (she's my neighbor) as investments.

it's a little shocking to hear this
personally I'm a supporter of animal rights

I don't know much about the SPCA and their policies and it sucks their turned down Regimental like that.
maybe they have a stressful and hard time voicing their stance and policies.

I do think that every single pet should be castrated and our government should work harder to stop pet farm opperations.
I'm 100% against pet shops cause the business doesn't go through enough to check the background of where these animals come from.

I also urge people not to buy any pets from those ads in the paper.

I give my utmost respect to responsible parents in this thread, on this board or anywhere for that matter, that do their job to the best of their abilities and use the best of their judgment

being far away from what's familiar for a while now, I've acknowledge the hell I put my parents through although one thing I never wanted was to get home intoxicated
still I created alot of unnecessary hardships

sometimes parents, or adults, are kids that weren't told any better

i blame it on too many handouts, lack of shame and lack of gratitude
it's what happens when people start thinking everything is owed to them in this life
some sort of birthright

my dad gave up smoking cold-turkey around the age I could understand what he was doing
then gave up being in a band
he expressed later that it didn't feel right anymore to walk through the door with his instruments for practices on weekend when they had to get ready for a gig

both my parents don't know what to do with themselves anymore now that I, and my sister just recently, moved out cause their lives revolved around our household and my upbringing

that part kind of makes me sad

i'm not trying to brag or anything
although i'm living a hedonistic (IMO) lifestyle these people are my role model as parents
so I can't find it acceptable for any parent to put themselves before their kids

personally I'm worried about being able to ingrain the same teachings and be a good guide to my children is i ever have some

don't forget that your children are going to be something like a self-evolving extension of your own image
so you have to learn to take care of yourself first if you want to put these people in favor of being the best that they can be

as you get older it takes more time to recover and how many days of not being able to give the most of 100% to your kids, while recovering, if you're living this lifestyle on a weekly basis?

but also,
i remember there was a study (or just an opinionated article) in some French newspaper about how it's important to still go out and have fun so your kids don't look at adulthood as some boring sterile death in small increments

for your hiking if it isn't too late

there's a place in the Eastern township's called Ayer's Cliff. The town it's in is also goes by this name. It's somewhere between Magog and Coaticook.

I don't remember how long it took to get to the top. At least an hour if not a few hours but when you're at the top it's rewarding cause you get see over a dope lake and see into Vermont.

Also Ayer's Cliff is a straight drop!
It feels crazy to sit on the edge with your legs hanging off.

it was a pretty fun show

he even had some hardcore left-field IDM type shit going on for the last bit
then all the american apparel kids with iraquian scarfs stopped dancing and looked at each other
taking notes on what you're supposed to do when you don't recognize a mashed-up anthem you can lip-sync to

"we'll get your mom locked up cause she knew about this and that, and never reported it to us"
also takes attention away from white collar crime

"a bas la dictature economique"

FOREAL!
when the people don't have any economical sovereignty within their own communities then they can't expect any type of justice

when i saw the Rize documentary the first time last year and saw this Krump thing
it's blew my fucken mind
but it was also a language so familiar
anyways it inspired me so much and kept me in awe... cause it pushes the envelope a little for what i know of dancing and it's intensity
also i like how there's no written vocabulary for it yet

except alot of dumb kids this it's crip walking on speed

also now there's a whole fucken movement trying to say it started in churches and it's a dance for jesus

although i doubt it...

why is it necessary to bring religion into everything that's done with heart and soul?
i dislike the whole idea of any organized religion cause it excellent way to institutionalize anything and ruining everything
although it can be uplifting and help a person get on the right track even after they hit rock bottom...
i still think it's hinder true spiritual growth

i know this almost off topic but it was on my mind for a while when i read about this whole KRUMPING FOR JESUS thing

anyone trying to educate themselves about any kind of personal consumption or lifestyle is admirable

being a whiny pussy each time someone makes a negative comment makes me wonder if that individual has a lack of belief in their choices

hence 'degenerates' hanging out together for moral support and justification

what is there to try to understand about K anyways? it seems like people who do it are trying to detach from themselves. so why the interest in the experience?

that's judgmental comment from tons of observation, of course
