Haha, that is a terrible story.

I was jogging to St-Denie to try to find you guys directly to let you know of the story about our car breaking down a 2nd time (As it turns out, both Rada and I were right.. He said the alternator was toast, I said it was a battery problem.)

So, I evidently miss St-Denie, and stop in a corner store about 2 streets down and ask for directions. She pulls out a map, I ask if it's up further, she says yes...

So I'm thinking St-Denie is faaar.. I go for like 3.5km. I run.. Then the rain hits hard, I somehow disorient myself from a straight plane, and basically end up running around in the totally wrong ends of town trying to find where I started from. It really perplexes me how I didn't overlap. I would have loved to have had my gps working..

By the time I actually wound up at the right space, the gear was already taken care of. My cell was long dead on batteries, so I basically had to shell out some serious coin to call some of my boys in Ottawa (3.65$ on payphones for 1m? I'm so calling shenanigans.) to contact Rada, see what's up, call back, etc...

Eventually I find out the Truck's back at a new repair shop. I get directions to it from where I was at, then go off for another 15m jog in the rain.

After meeting up, I picked up a towel and a new non-totally soakered set of socks. Shortly thereafter the truck was up and running, and we ride off into the sunset to Ottawa.

I'm going to have to rain check those crepes guys, lol. Man, what happened at the restaurant?

All kinds of fun to have had!

Next time I'll try come a little earlier than 3:30am, lol.

In MTL would be a good idea too. I went there once to kill some time before going to some party or something (don't remember exactly what I was up to..), and the fabulous Jenny working there gave top notch laserquesting directions.

Just be cautious about the LQ junkies. In Ottawa, they're the type who don't really bathe, and generally it's their only exercize for the entire month. (slash that.. The only time they leave their computer in their basement room)

Luckily ravers generally out-number them, so geek on geek violence/bullying takes place nicely.

Two groups of players, so you get a break every other game. (set up in short 15-20-30 minute long games, depending on how the organisers feel things are going/what everyone wants to do)

Teams can fit up to 37 players going at once.

If we have more than that show up we can take over parts of the other team as well.

The Laserquest crew tends to give out pop and chips as well occasionally.

It's a whole lot of fun!

Paperbag DJs (you and Coreon) were listed on the timeslots at i.Tekno opening in the 2nd room. Ian definately never received your e-mail before the party if that's the case, otherwise he wouldn't have given you timeslots and had them drawn out at the event.

Some of those people were at i.Tekno. (At least one of them anyway, I don't know what the actual count is for people who want to beat his ass. Like I said, it's never got to a point where any of that sketchy stuff has affected me, so I don't exactly pay attention to it unless it gets thrown in my face.)

Okay, well that's good, although sending him an e-mail the day of the party while he's busy setting up doesn't work super well, unless he had advanced notice and just decided not to make an announcement on the Ottawa boards. (And you decided not to as well)
