I drove 600km, payed almost 1.50l for gas, and still was able to afford a ticket. I live on my own and budgeted accordingly like Ive done since my 1ST rave
Theres a progression to raves, Ive always remembered homemade deco since i was a kid being present , even in the dark and dingy the light wasnt just the people but the fun art.
Now if a promoter wants to actually find talent that is mindblowing and not a giglle to see for 5 seconds that brings a better vibe. Ive seen t countless times.
I also see the land of 3 rooms disappearing and that was great to revive back
I also think the crowd will be a safer crowd if the price isnt dirt cheap.
You wont get the meth headed intense looking crazy, im going to steal your shit then yell at you for accusing type crowd you see at what i like to call drug den raves
A place where you just grab as much djs as you can to give a party excuse so people use that as an axcuse to pump there blood system with so much drugs they can hide themselves.

This was more of a lets here fucking good music, in a good atmospehre with good friends, and if i was a GOOD RAVER
I bought it in advance like i do with toilet paper
you buy it before you have to shit , you dont wait till you have to shit then go im all out of money!

I dont make alot of money, and i can still afford was my original point. I didnt need to drink or do drugs to have fun.
I just DID

If you cant have fun at a party without drinking/drugs then your not having fun

And if you guys actually did a true price comparison, one party had a headliner with no deco, in a shitty venue, with probbably nasty washroom facilites . I dont know what the security was like so I cant say

This place was clean, washrooms brand new, it never got dirty, the deco was amazing in every room, a unique vibe full of positivty in each rom. There was a level of peace throughout the entire night. The music was done by all talented locals, no one messed up, and the dj lineup made SENSE. The tickets were available for 20. which means your paying 5 for music, 5 for deco, 5 for venue, and 5 to keep the place clean like it was the first 5 minutes of the party

But instead you guys decided to spend that money on dinky parties or weeklies instead of resting or doing free hobbies and then complained when its 40 at the door.

It blows my mind how much you guys make no sense

People complaining about it too loud?? What are you 70 with a pace maker and hearing aid?!!!
The bass was fucking awesome, and def hilarious!
$40?! Come on the deco was amzzzzzing, lots of hard work, and CLEAN environments make the vibe that much better.
And also it wouldnt be 40 unless you were too damn lazy to get a friggin ticket and purchase like a responsible parytier. Getting the best deals for awesome parties you want to attend
Stop bitching and buy tickets people. For EVERY event you attend
Not only does it save YOU money, provides less stress to yourself so you know your going, but helps out the promoters as well
Get it? Got it?
GOOOD
FUCK YEAH

3/12 acts breaks.... thats 25%
and why the fuck is there techno?
Breaks scene is starting to rekindle slowly in toronto but it doesnt feel the same. Used to be we would have 2 rooms. one would be all jungle in every shape and form and the other all breaks with its all shapes and forms
there are so many styles of breaks out there people dont tap into
You go to the west coats and its so popular there, but east coast could so get better access to better djs then what headliners they get out there.

I felt it alot here in toronto, it lasted about 40 seconds where I was.
Insurance companies are getting high call volumes now with foundation damage it seems. On the poorly constructed homes.
my brother lived in ohio close to the kentucky border and he felt it too. Apparely it went through ohio, michigan, newyork, ontatio and parts of quebec.

Though weirdly , though I think this was a different quake all together... a buddy of mine in taiwan felt one too

Making pre based judgements on individualized human beings is just as bad as you running around with a white robe over your head yelling kkk. in my books
I listen to psy trance alot, im not vegan, i like my baon, i dont have dreads im educated.. i mean im not anything your sterotyping someone to be
Its fucking music man seriously alot of people feel that way too.
I listent o all sorts and have a great passion for the genres i do listen to.
Hell most of the time im the sober bitch on the dance flor to boot

But let me tell you something if your vegan male/female your cum juice tatses better. That has been scientifically proven through research that your diet determines your flavour in your juices

So a vegan would taste better so long as they dont like spicy vegan food.

but enver the less i find it funny that a boy that just turned legal is thinking ts a smart move to go on a rtaver site and promote clubbing... which is just a neanderthols [ if we want to sterotype music scenes] grouped together fist puming and picking up chicks just to fuck while the girls are parading smelling vwegins peaking from thwere "dresses" which is just a glorified shirt and there herpes cream is tucked away in theire giant fake tits

Really generalizing a population is quite lame and untre and pole who are lame will be lame no matter what music they listen to. They are just a lame PERSON

And from a non mtler point of view like myself, we dont think of montreal music scene and think house music land! We think psy trance... if you want a good selection of psy events or the best you go to montreal [in canada]. Its no where else

If you want jungle id say toronto, if you want dub, go out west to the island

If you want hookers, just go to your m0m

I didnt mean they all had no deco and good venues, it was the last thing i typed online before bed so i was trying to make it quick and my brain was already in sleep mode.
What I was trying to emphasize is, its nt about the drugs, the venue, the deco, all that really matter is good sound quality and good talent and good friends.
I never went to any toronto parties unfortunately till 02, so I wouldnt know though I had heard stories, but they reminded me alot of shtuff I went to. I do agree with alot that you say though, dont get me wrong.
My first toroto party that i can remeber was nasty as shit but i had fun, and i travelled from brampton a week after moving there, knowing no one. It was across the street in an alley way form turbo i think? reform did some parties there.....
I remember as a kid not going to any parties except for at march break, xmas breaks and summer because thats when i lived with my brother. and thats when my sister could take me to a party...
I never had internet my brother did and i would go on xvi and scout out parties not knowing who any of the djs were, I didnt know dj names. Just knew sounds from being given mixed tapes from my roomies.
We didnt do drugs, we would just drink wine coolers in the car before going in...lol

The cheaper the party the better since we were using alot of our little money on gas so alot of nthe shtuff i was exposed to whe i was a lil tweeny was those dirty ass in the middle of no where generator parties, or in a abandoned church.. or xvi bbq's hahaha *shutters*

At the end of the day Im , and I dont think anyone really buy a ticket to a party or pays cover at the door for the deco. How do you even know what it looks like? If the crowd is right you dont need deco to help bring the vibe. Its just there

Theres less of this I see, but I do try my best in toronto to go out to those that give me the impression it may have that oldschool feel. I get disappointed because on the youngins actions but im sure its like life. A cycle. Im sure the oldskoolers hated me when i was 13 at their parties.

Heck when i was 16 and someone asked me if i wanted to dose i said whats dose? and they said you know e.. and i said eeeeeeeeeeee??? whats the rest of the word?I didnt even know what e was or was short form for.

All I knew was raves had gereat music and everyone smoked weed and i thought that was cool just like that party on dazed and confused and that no one made fun of me for being skinny, or blonde, or having a speech problem and for once people emberaced me as a new kid.
Someone after moving 22 times and 6 different schools i never felt once as a child

Im 25 born in 85, I started when I was 13. Do the math

And theres lots of parties without deco or a nice venue.
Heck montreal just through one am i not correct , where eveyrone came back dirrty, last time i check that would be outdoors and theres no roof to hang deco or post up pictures... so it happens and people think its epic.
Cuz you dont need deco or a nice venue to have an epic rave
jeeez. Rave snob? Or reformed clubber?

Before going to my first rave I listend to electronic music since i was 9. Having a brother 6 years older then you will do that, so would living with that brother and his 4 friends and gf. The gf is now my sister.

PERIOD

Its not about the promoters, its not about the decor , its about dj's and producers playing good performances and good friends surrounding you with that.

If you dont like your scene thats your fault

Good venues and deco is something new, go rave in the 90's, we didnt have that shit.
we just grabbed a generoator and went where we could and played for as long as we could with friends

love doesnt always last because people are selfish greeedy motherfuckers trying tot est their bounderies most of the time.
People love and hate their parents because of their actions and words usually. Which is understandle with anyone.
Many djs change their style because they are trying to get bigger gigs, stronger gigs or brand out to new crowds. Theres many dj's and producers that have been throwing down the same genre but gorwing with that genre for decades.

People change ther minds all the time because the media/govwernment and the social system has what is almost like adhd. We cant seem to focus on things for long periods of time or like something for long untill the "next great thing" comes along and then we forget all about that last product we purchased for a few hundred dollars.
Good example is video games systems. How long did the nes last compared to the snes and the n64 game cube to the wii? It became soon shorter period between each release.

We try to reinvent movies, and then we find out the original is better. Good example is this marvel comics and old novels fad that just doesnt compare.

Perosnally I still watch activly vhs, i listen to music in my car by choice tape casettes and not cd's. I choose to spin vinyl not cdjs. My music collection is made mostly of electronic music from 98-04. And I roll my joints by hand not by machine or an electronic vapor. I like things oldschool.
So I dont thinkyou can even say in a summerization that everyone goes through a dynamic persay

No matter how much you pay really, you will make the money back with the savings you get in , insurance.
The amount people pay for insurance without drivers and with is insane. $1000's difference.

I remember one kid he was 19 and bought a 1989 toyota tercel and i had to quote him $6700/yr for minimum insurance.
I told him to park the tercel , do the drivers and his insurance would go down to around 3000$/yr

Oh and no one ever buy a tercel they are high in, insurance in general haha. Shit cars

I am a liscenced insurance broker and I can tell you, driving lessons are not mandetory but having one allows you a driving record 3 instead of 2 when you have your G2 or learners and it provides a discount with some insurance companies. usually ones geared towards younger drivers as clients.
Not every school is same, thats like saying every high school is the same 1 school that stands out is young drivers not only because it is heavily supported by the government but also because alot of the teachers are retired teachers, not just somebody with a good driving record, so they know how to teach any type of person. As we all know everyone learns differently and thats a good quality to have
The best bet would to find a school that not only offers the regular in class/with 30 hours of in car but also someone that teachs defensive winter driving.
Young drivers provides that and so do other more reputable schools.
They can flood and freeze large parking lots and let you feel what its like to spin out of control. Thats very impirtant as most claims it seems happens in the winter from not knowing how to react in snow/ice conditions

No matter what city the organization and talent booking process should be the same throughout. Want an example of a party with breaks and jungle going all night? ok how about andy c noisia, umm whats your flava was on saturday having headliners r c cola,16armed jack in the jungle room and plasticmotive in the breaks room.
how about another example... about 80% of ALL parties thrown on vancouver island, how about alot of parties in the uk?
Sounds like to me your living in a small world. What you base your impression of the scene is based on your personal like and experience. So you dont experience breaks and jungle parties much so you dont know much about them.
Which is understandable but not allwinig your self to have an open mind to what others who have been in the breaks/jungle boat have.

Dont get me wrong i love psy trance BUT I can go into just as much of a journey with psy trance as with some funky breaks. In my personal experience can be different for others im sure, breaks music allows me to be more creative in dancing. I can branch out and do so many styles of dancing that psy trance wont allow me. Jungle whilst dancing is something more of a feeling energized from the bass and its not so much a creative or journey full dance but more of a aggressive fuck yeah sort of thing.
So its different strokes for different folks but its also something you should not generalize and put a label to.

If you moved to victoria bc for exmaple , there is no psy scene its breaks, jungle ,electro and thats it. so it works for other places and ithe same can be said for toronto, and edmonton, calgary new york and other cities full of good electronic scenes

haha your wrong mike. 3 hours of andy c alone isnt enough for muy ears. I choose 1 party each month, this month I had the choice of a psy trance party for $10 or breaks/jungle for $15. I chose the breaks and jungle and dont regret it. And I like psy trance just as much as you
Theres a reason why the term jungle party is used, and used quite frequently in lets say the uk and toronto... for example.
I can do a full night of full on psy trance, i can do a full night of funky breaks the same can be said for jungle too.
because I truly love each genre equally and each one i love equally ALOT. If you really love a genre of music you can take it for any given length of time

I started partiing when I was 15 and went about once every 3 months due to living in another province, or lack of transportation in general.
When I got my liscence it went to around once every 6 weeks
When i was on my own I went more then every weekend I went for weeklys and weekenders... then I realized life isnt one big party. That the ones that do that every week end up never being able to afford cars, houses, get out of school debt and build a sold future so i decided to pick and choose wisely parties. Ever since I have enjoyed and appreciated parties more.
So its around once a month to 6 weeks now.
I dont do house parties or bars. The only time I do a weekly is if its to promote for a party and I enjoy iot like that and so does my wallet and living space. Covers/tickets are way too much now adays to really want to live a comfrtbale life/and have a huge party life anyways

Some of my best nights anyways are sexathons with my bf anyways, and i spin at home!Cant put a price on that

oh i dont know digo saying its 25 reduced and since i was out of the province alot in the last month thats what i relied on. $25$. Orignally if you read the flyer it says 20 ticket limited then 25$ advanced. so 25 reduced made sense to coincide with with the advanced ticket price.
Then because of the "overwhelming popularity" <---- direct quote the prices are being jacked up to 30 and then 40 at the door. I expect door prices to be $10 higher then advanced tickets... but then what are these $30 double advanced?
Just seems like a money grabbing scheme knowing people most likely wont miss out seeing as we all know Andy C isnt going to stop anywhere else in canada

If your going to put ticket prices on your flyers you should put a disclaimer saying prices can change at anytime and dont take that as our word
