I think all drugs should be legal, but require people to have a liscence in order to be able to buy them. In order to get the liscence, you''d have to take a drug education course with balanced information about the pros/cons of drug use. Theres always gonna be some people who abuse drugs, whether they're illegal or not. But this should not be used as a pretext to deny the right of the responsible drug user to safely ingest whatever substance he/she wishes.

Excellent conclusion, and I agree with you. On psychedelics, I've had so many really valuable insights on things I should accomplish or improve in myself. But during the time when I was tripping alot, many of those insights totally faded with the next dose, to be replaced with a new onslaught of goals. Psychedelics can show you some amazing things, but when the trip's over thats when the work really begins...its much harder to actually bring an idea into reality than it is to simply conceive of it.

So when faced with a blank sheet...time to go out and grab a sheet :D

I'm sure I will give up on MDMA eventually, but even that won't change the fact that I've had wonderful experiences on it. I still feel that its made me a much more emphathetic person and more in tune with other peoples emotions, even tho I actually haven't dosed in maybe half a year now. Hell, I've only done ecstasy around 10-15 times over two years, and that's all I've needed. Of course, if you take that many pills in a month (or a weekend) you'll be headed for a mental burnout, but thats a case of abuse as opposed to thoughtful use.

Much depends on when and what you last ate (ie full or empty stomach). Generally speaking, taking it on an empty stomach will probably cause it to hit sooner, but these things are tough to predict. I'd take it at least an hour before the movie starts, since real acid should last at least 8 hours anyway. But make sure you're with someone who can watch you so u don't start running around the movie theatre stealing others people's popcorn or trying to talk to the characters in the movie.

I don't think you'll die from taking 20 or so pills in one weekend. But taking that much is pretty rough to your mind and your body, and chances are that if you take that much regularly you'll soon be headed for a mental collapse of some sort....maybe severe depression, and likely brain damage of some sort. Basically, if your gonna take E, you gotta accept the fact that the high is only gonna last for a few hours and then its back to reality, u can't be wanting to keep prolonging the high by taking more cuz its only gonna cost you more and more in the longterm.

Do you ever notice that, as you begin drifting off to sleep, you start experiencing very interesting, dreamy thoughts? Sometimes it can feel like dreaming while still partially awake. And then, like a spiral descending into blackness, you drift further and further away from your surroundings....and then the next conscious thought occurs only upon waking. It could be half an hour later, or twelve hours later, you only realize it after a few moments of re-orienting yourself to your surroundings. I imagine that death could be alot like the crack between sleep and wakefulness, except of course that there is neither the conclusion of "waking up" nor the possibility of being conscious of your own death. (If death=end of consciousness, then you never will consciously be aware of being dead.) So, suspended in a moment of time between living and dying, I beleive that one's awareness turns inwards to the hidden depths of the mind. Like heather said, a never-ending dream. Because hidden in the subconscious is the preserved memory of every single moment of your life...and its quite a common occurence for people having near-death experiences to report a sort of "life review" where they experience moments of their past all over again. So maybe you don't live just once, but multiple times: once "for real" and then over and over again based on the memories contained within your mind. And if this is so, would you be doomed to repeat every action as it was first performed, or is memory pliable enough to allow certain twists and variations?

Drug experiences can be fun and valuable, but the fun can't always last forever. So why do people stop using drugs?

Personally, I haven't been doing many drugs lately, partly because they can be a little bit difficult and risky to find in Thailand, and partly because there aren't the same parties and people here to do them with. So what about you?

If there is an "evil force" that compels people to use drugs, its the force of nature. All people naturally want to turn towards pleasure and turn away from pain. And drugs are an instant shorcut to temporary bliss.

I think the whole concept of "mental illness" can be deceptive. Of course, there are many people who really can't function mentally, and who require medication or other forms of treatment. On the other hand, I don't necessarily think that any person whose thought processes don't conform with the norm need to be labelled mentally ill and medicated. Because if everyone thought more or less alike, where would humanity gets its revolutionary ideas from? If you look back at the history of great artists, thinkers, or religious leaders, many of them had mental difficulties of some sort, or perhaps were even considered insane at one time or another.

As for the statistics cited above, while I don't dispute 1.1% of the population may be schizophrenic under a broad diagnostic criteria, I doubt 51 million people worldwide are full blown nutcases. For every person that is totally insane, there are many others who can function succesfully despite being of a different psychological makeup than the majority. There are countless shades of grey between the black and white of sanity versus insanity.

I wonder what would happen if today you met a man who claimed he was the son of god, and that he could walk on water and cure blindess. Well, there was someone like that two thousand years ago, and yet the teachings of that obviously insane person continue to inspire millions of people today. Or what about that prince who lived 500 years before, that rode out into the jungle on his own one night and spent years sitting alone in the wild eating only a grain of rice per day. The history of greatness is inextricably interwined with that of insanity.

Back in the day, it'd be nearly impossible to have sex before marriage. So people got married just for the sake of having sex with the person they'd feel attracted to. So the whole "wait until marriage" moral exists primarily to sustain the institution of marriage itself, or to put it another way, to allow the church a way to influence personal relationships.

"I remember buying 2CB (Nexus) pills at Berri, five years ago, for 5$ a pill. I`m pretty sure they charged more then that for acid even if they would have made money selling it for 10 cents."

I beleive that you could have bought 2c-b pills, but theres no way 2c-b could be put on a blotter. A dose of 2c-b is around 15 milligrams, which could never fit on a blotter.

I've never tried 2c-b and would like to, so it certainly wouldn't be a dispointment to find some, even in leiu of acid!

Another point to consider: acid can really play tricks on your perceptions, and often your expectations regarding the trip can and will actually influence the trip itself. So if you take a blotter containing LSD but you beleive it might be something else, you might focus your attention on any uncomfortable effects, and by consequence, magnify them. Its a classic example of a self-fulfilling prophecy. You could have taken the best, most pure blotter in the world, but if you beleive its shitty, the trip WILL be shitty.
