Just called in work to say I can't come in on saturday morning next week,. I'm officially HYPED. Officially.

The Good : It was free, there were plenty of wonderful people there, all for enjoying a good show. The band was mostly on, and for a free show the sound quality was good. Except the guitar (see below). I sacrificed a bit of sound quality to back up and be on the grass. There was plenty of room to dance and see the stage well. Vicious Delicious and Becoming Insane are always good towards the end of the party to finish on a high note. The singer was super energetic

The Bad : Yeah, pretty packed. I really don't like IM's new single, Smashing The Opponent (featuring Korn's singer??), and from what I've heard last night, I just got a bad overall feeling about their upcoming album, Legend of the black shawarma (sweet name though). My major problem was the entire stage, sound, and everything seemed made for electronic music, and IM came up with this semi Nu-metal approach. I'm all for diversyfing, exploring new styles, but if you're gonna go metal... do it right? The guitar sound quality was just aweful. His solos sounded like a beginner guitar player trying to play Slayer's Raining Blood.

Maybe it's better to look at it simply though : it was a FREE Infected Mushroom show, in a park. That doesn't come very often and I had a blast dancing and partying!

I'm curious to know what kind of set they played at La mouche at 1:30? Did they stick to their newer stuff or go a bit further back? Anything pre-IM the Supervisor?

Yarr I got 4 tickets in case I lose the first three.... and just mayyyyyyyybe I'll bring 3 other people along in case I don't lose them. If they're nice. And they bring rhum. Lots of it.
