As always I'm trying to work with different genres, but also focusing on something that flows smoothly, and changes direction in less drastic ways than other mixes, despite layering tracks that are in different time signatures.

I once stripped down to a pair of my (then) gf's hot pink bikini bottoms during a set at the Royal Albert Arms in Winnipeg... was actually one of the last shows I played before moving out here.

as for lame names... whatever... it's all fuckin' micromanagement... there's good music and there's bad music... beyond that, it's just a description... I've been telling people for years that I play "whatever the fuck I want" when they ask me for my 'style of music'

fuck pain... stretching is fun... pretty much all of my piercings have grown in, though... sometimes I miss them - but the 0 + 00 holes in my ears became too much of a hassle when with martial arts... and that nipple piercing... well - at least I built it up to a 2ga flesh tunnel before I took it out...

Update » fishead wrote on Sun Feb 12, 2012 @ 7:20am
...it's only a 6ga (vertical/barbell) + 8ga (horizontal/ring)... as I stretched them up I ran into a lot of problems... basically they became a teeter-totter, with the horizontal one rocking back and forth on the deeper vertical piercing.

anyone who does a bit of research on short-term weight-cutting can drop about 15% of the body weight in a matter of days... and anyone who is serious about slimming down - and commits to the lifestyle change involved - can eliminate excess weight in a healthy manner. It comes down to desire, will-power and stripping away empty calories...

easiest way to lose weight? don't drink ANYthing that contains calories... drink water, or green tea... no juice (huge sugar content), no energy drinks (again with the sugar)... fuck it...

yo... take a good luck at my user pic... that's me... DRUNK... posing with a cardboard cut-out of a pro-wrestler in a grocery store in Illinois... I'm pointing this out because people that disagree with what I'm saying need to recognize something... they need to recognize that they're fundamentally wrong... and they need to see that it's a fucking alcoholic telling them they're retarded... because it initially encourages their suspension of disbelief... and then... when they have realized they're retarded... it hurts more... because they're confronted with the epiphany that even alcoholics were able to discern how fucking cracked out and full of shit they were.

I mean... *really*... ANY electronic music??? for real?

You're gonna stack up a bunch of over-driven patch-frenzied bullshit against the rhythmic complexity of Autechre? You're gonna stack that unnamed stuff up against the Cubist Reggae ep, or the Speed Dealer Moms project? Don't talk about technically impressive when you're swimming in the shallow end of the pool... 'cause really... if you want to match technical complexity you better be pulling some A-level shit out of your fucking bag.... In an interview with USA Today, the 17-year-old Canadian pop star said, “I’m about halfway through. What’s big right now are beats that are in the clubs, like dubstep. So I want to mess with that stuff, but also stay me.”

We shall believe it when we see it.

...and evidence of its influence... wish I was able to find the whole thing - but this is probably more than enough for most people. I'll just go into the other room and dig out the vinyl.

this is the first Nurse With Wound record I picked up... back in the early days of seeking out everything that Thirlwell was involved with (he does vocal duties on this one)... who knew that one day he'd find fame scoring The Venture Bros.?
