Using the message as the medium, the website and forum united the Shambhala community and spread the word. Deep in the Kootenay Mountain range, the Salmo River Ranch begins its annual transformation. Arcadian pastures evolve into a futuresque setting on an epic scale. Encircled by nature, a community rises, sharing a common goal, celebrating a collective love and respect for music, art and humanity. For five days and four nights time ceases to exist. | Info: | There are 6 stages, all encompassing different genres: -Main Stage: Friday night will be dedicated to all the rockers and the break beat freaks. And for all those heads out there, by dark Saturday you’ll be jackin deep in the House. Each night will be kicked off right bringing back live music. With the crazy light show, Turbo Sound, open air starlit sky and sooper sonic Yag Lazer, this stage is the stadium of all stages. -Fractal Forest: Dance and play with Mother Nature as she truly intended. Become one with the spirit of the forest and feel the vibration of her pulsing heartbeat. See the universe through the minds eye of its creator... join us on this sacred path of enlightenment. 16 GIANT screens ~ 80 000 watts of funk! 40 watt yag laser Mind Melting Eye Candeez -Ewok Village: Journey through the trees and find yourself in the heart of the world's greatest woodland nightclub. Imagine as you explore catwalks and mingle in tree forts surrounding the village square, all while shadowed by treetops and enormous geodesic structures overhead. Gaze at amazing black light art, play with the smoke cannons or be part of the crowd as the music moves thousands! So don't be late on Friday evening when the gates to the Village open to give you a first glimpse at what has been created. Sweet break beats, gltichy hip-hop and funky electro will start the weekend off with a bang. On Saturday the Village will once again be haven to all junglists providing the best Drum and Bass has to offer; from funky bass lines, to as dark and dirty as you can imagine! Sunday, as always, will be the pinnacle of the weekend. No holds barred, all systems go, speakers on the verge of meltdown and Lorin! On Sunday the village is THE place to be! -The Portal: The spectrum of sonic sorcery starts Friday with psy-space funk leading into deep progressive trance and welcoming dawn with psy-house. Saturday is dedicated to psy-trance and Sunday the mothership is landing!! Hidden in the depths of the Portal, Dreamweaver and the rest of the Seed of Life crew will take you on an intentional journey into inner space. From deep relaxing ambient, to movement-oriented downtempo, the Seed of Life sings a lunar lullaby. The crew of musicians, healers, and bodyworkers are there to help keep you grounded physically, mentally, spiritually and energetically. -The Living Room: Friday night will be dedicated to all the rockers and the break beat freaks.
