| Info: | THIS WEEK---------------------- NIC,Toronto,Metalheadz GREMLINZ (Metalheadz, Architecture, Version, Horsemen) Gremlinz, born and raised in Toronto, Canada was first introduced to Drum & Bass after seeing the video for Goldie’s “Inner City Lifeâ€. He has been hooked ever since. He got his first break as a DJ in 1998, having since been a resident at clubs such as Turbo & Milano and being part of the “Renegade Airwaves (89.5FM)†and “Source FM (100.7FM)†radio shows. Gremlinz made his debut as a producer in 2000 collaborating with his good friend Stranjah for a 12†on Crimsyn Recordings. Since then, the two have collaborated on music for Ink’s imprint “Architectureâ€, “Gamma Rayâ€, “Hardleaders†and “Metalheadzâ€, with much more in store both on the joint and solo tip. Gremlinz is also a member of the Toronto based Version Recordings, which is home to Mutt, Outlook, Infiltrata, Visionary, Syme, Lucid and Stranjah. STRANJAH (Metalheadz, 31 Records, Version, Horsemen) Stranjah has been involved with music since 1997. While his early forays into creating music included house and techno, he soon moved over to the breakbeat sound when first captivated by the early sounds of Reinforced and Metalheadz. Stranjah made his first step into the world of drum and bass upon releasing his first single on "Flex Records", followed on by further releases on "Crimsyn", "Media", "DNB Arena LP Vol.2" and most recently Doc Scott's imprint "31 Records". After a short hiatus from working together, Stranjah & Gremlinz have returned to the studio together with music forthcoming on "Hardleaders", "Architecture" and "Metalheadz". Aside from drum & bass production, Stranjah has been focusing on the Version imprint, as well as hip-hop, house, and broken-beat projects. NAI aka i.james.jones (Honor Rebel Society, Local Genius, Horsemen) For those of you who have not heard of him, I.James.Jones better known as Nai made a name for himself in the drum and bass scene as an emcee. He was part of the now defunct Next Junction Kru and has emcee'd for worldclass DJ's such as Grooverider, Kenny Ken, etc. His notoriety comes from his skill as a freestyle battle mc, although he is not limited to that. He also formed the hip hop crew Local Genius, which also features Masia One, Triple O, among others. Nai took a hiatus from drum and bass a few years ago to focus on his recording and songwriting efforts. Over a year of work, he will be releasing the material on 2 separate albums, the first entitled "Stitched in the Sweatshop" and the second entitled "The Language of...".
