| Info: | NORTHTEK 2005 SOUTHERN ONTARIO DIY FESTIVAL JULY 14-18TH [ www.northtek.tk ] this july you could be in the woods, listening to music, meeting people who want to make a difference in the world, joking with your best friend about how trees look like boners, writing profound poetry inspired by an act of randomness that seems to coincide with some sense of 'circle' (dude), meeting the love of your life while learning that vegan cooking aint so bad, house music saves your soul, art is life, work is play, orchestrating the revolution, shifting the paradigm, destroying misogyny, taking life by the balls, etc.etc.etc. if you aren't too lazy to throw the whole opportunity away this is your chance to do something your way. sound stages are gearing up, djs, bands, artists are getting together with their friends to put together stages, communities of friends are making plans for ways to suprise and inspire strangers, mysterious tekno-nerds are getting their high tech cottage gadgetry together, Europeans are saving their euroes and North America is getting smaller through travel on the information super highway. what are you gonna do for northtek? if your answer is come and get fucked up, don't bother coming. we can provide you with a list of other places that are up for that. so just what the fuck is this all about? this is about living the socio-democratic dream... Northek is a 100% free DiY Festival. ie. no cover, no security, no fences and gates, no official programming, no official anything... its a free festival in all senses, free to get in, free to bring what you want (whether it be sound, art, crazy high tech gadgetry, etc), free to be autonomous and just live,...live without dead time! we encourage anyone who would like to come to please MAKE THIS YOUR OWN FESTIVAL...there are no official organizers and no one to stop you from doing anything, so common up. that said, there is one rule and one rule only: because of where we throw this event, it is actually illegal to sell things; including using advertisement to sell at a later date...not that we're going to call the cops or anything, but a like minded community might have something to say about such shenanigins, so watch yourself if you float that boat. want to learn more? check these links fools: [ www.northtek.tk ] [ www.come.to ] [ www.freetekno.org ] [ www.network23.org ] want to get involved in a group effort? keep yourselves informed.
