| Description: | The evening that features MUTEK at the Métropolis has become, over its 7 editions, one of the great traditions of the festival. This year, MUTEK has risen to the challenge once again with an eclectic program and strong proposals, destined to catch the MUTEK public off guard! On the musical menu: an unedited, aesthetic performance by the striking French duo Nôze; the impressive and powerful techno/house/salsa mixture of the Los Hermanos quintet (associated with the mythical Underground Resistance label); a return to Montréal (after 5 years of absence) of one of MUTEK’s favorite artists, Thomas Brinkmann; a spotlight on Montreal artist Mossa, celebrating the release of his first disc on the Parisien label Circus Company... Look for other surprises that, as always, will rise to the occasion in a Métropolis environment transformed by sophisticated video scenography... |

Le duo Nôze valait la peine également, pour une fois que des DJs live ne font pas juste se gratter le menton pendant leur set. Ces deux gars avaient presque une chorégraphie! D'un autre côté je suis venu là principalement pour Thomas Brinkmann et j'ai été déçu par son son peu évolutif et trop regulier. Pas assez progressif. Mais mon bonheur de découvrir les Grands Pubahs était plus grand que ma déception de Thomas Brinkmann. Une belle soirée tout de même! |
