L'Escalier is a beautiful spot... it is conveniently located on St. Catherine right near Berri, and it is dedicated to hosting artists who wish to express themselves with a respectful sincerity that few clubs would ever dare to match. I began to sing because of that, and later picked up nylon-stringed guitar and electric bass. I want to get my hands on: harp, cello, keyboard, sitar. I am a poi artist and fire dancer. For sets such as the one I will be playing/performing on this night, I carefully arrange tracks in Ableton Live, limiting myself at up to 10 tracks at once, of mostly classical, minimal, progressive, ambient, techno, house, psychedelic, trance, and my own original productions molded into a coherant whole. The intention is to communicate both immediate sonic pleasure as well as a strong sense of narrative throughout; I wish to share a musical journey that tells a story.
