Aries has been enjoying electronic music since 1991 and hasn’t looked back since. Aries has performed at shows internationally and is now a sought after DJ/producer worldwide. Aries has been producing music for just over a decade, his first vinyl release was in April 2005 on Co-Lab Recordings (owned by DJ partners Benny & Heist) with the heavily supported “Herbsmoke”. Also released on vinyl is “Nuff Reggae Music” on Visionary’s Lion Dubs label (002), ”Just Like The Rain” on Lion Dubs (005) and ”Skankin Dub” on Lion Dubs (004). There are also remixes of ”Herbsmoke” by the massive TC and almighty Visionary‘ on Co-Lab and Pure Vibez (Benny, Aries & Heist’s label). Aries’ main influences are dub & reggae, his music sets are unique and have consistent maximum impact on the dance floor. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Tuffist got his start on the local scene as a founding member of Survival NYC (New York's original Ragga Jungle warriors). A string of mix tapes became underground classics and Tuffist soon found himself with a full schedule of North American bookings, a residency at Konkrete Jungle and a collaboration the world famous Break Beat Science. Moving Barcelona, Spain in 2006, Tuffist founded Konkrete Jungle Barcelona, as well as the city’s first weekly Dubstep event, Bass Attack. Since relocating, Tuffist has consistently been invited to play at major events around Europe, performing along side world-class reggae vocalists such as Demolition Man and Top Cat. Tuffist currently holds a residency at Barcelona's top Dubstep night, B.Low and is in rotation on SUB.FM, the internationally-acclaimed UK-based radio station. He has spent much of the last year in the studio completing the new Chopstick Meets River Nile album alongside Jacky Murda and Aries. His constant stream of shows and travels throughout his years on the circuit are testament to Tuffist’s reputation as a powerful stage presence, his energetic and varied sets never leaving listeners indifferent.
