| Description: | Thursday April 14, Helsinki presents Sessions with Ferry Corsten. Number 5 in the world according to DJ Mag, need we say more…… Actually we do!!! One of the 3 Dutch heavy weights in the top 5 of world DJ's, Ferry Corsten is not your average DJ. A true pioneer and a dynamic force in the electronic dance scene who is never stagnant and always knows to think ahead and be part of creating the “next sound”. It was 1999 when he produced “System F - Out of the Blue” and firmly positioned himself on the dance scene map never to leave since. Having produced numerous hit records under countless aliases, he has managed to create a sound that has gained him respect in the music industry. Consequently he has won various awards (elected as 'Producer of the Year' during the Ericsson Muzik Awards in London 1999, leaving fellow-nominees like Puff Daddy and Rodney Jerkins behind him). To this day he is the one electronic dance music artist that has had more top 10 singles in the UK charts than anybody else. Just recently he released his album “Right of Way” which should be available in music stores now. Some big producers are not necessarily the best DJ’s but in Ferry’s case stating that would be a big mistake. Obviously you don’t achieve a #5 position based on your good looks but this man is a phenomenal DJ. Having played for record numbers of crowds, Ferry is finally coming to Ottawa again. Helsinki is offering you something that few people ever get to experience: One of the biggest DJ/Producers in the world in one of the most intimate spaces here in Ottawa. This is going to be a night that will be remembered for a long time to come. Supporting DJ will be Ottawa’s very own Chakra V. Helsinki will sell 100 tickets in advance at Helsinki only, starting Wednesday March 23. Ticket price in advance is $20, at the door a limited amount of tickets will be available at $30 before 11pm.
