| Extras: | On the Saturday of Pop Montreal, Baile MTL and CKUT is bringing some of the most amazing musical globetrotters of today in a unique come together. This guys never stop exploring what the world has to offer in terms of beats, bass and sounds in order to mix them all together in the greatest and danceable way. Their music collages are like political manifestos, by taking boundaries down between musics, they try to promote curiosity and being open to other cultures and people. DJ /RUPTURE The man behind the SOOT record label just came back to NY after some years living in Barcelona. He's probably the most imaginative, audacious and talented dj I've ever seen play. Mixing music from all over the place with some break beats and heavy bass, his dj sets are like live experiences of collapsing musics in an incredible maelstrom where arabic music, jungle, dancehall and hip-hop in many languages get the favorite's spot. Maga Bo is a Rio de Janeiro based sound engineer that travel all around the world to take care of the sound for documentaries. He's also recording rappers and toasters around the planet and put everything together in some mind blowing Ableton live sets! FILASTINE /Rupture and Maga Bo's most frequent collaborator is always traveling at the point that airports might be his homes more than his apartment in Barcelona. His sets are very much like live sets as he's playing all kind of percussions and instruments at the same time he's messing around with his computer, keyboards and other digital instruments.
