Introduced to a variety of different genres, he instantaneously fell in love with the Hardcore sound and never looked back since! After S4MWiSE moved back to his hometown of Montreal in 2006, he joined the Project Mayhem crew where he officially started his DJ career and throwing the legendary “Rave’R’Us” party series and bringing in huge names such as Luna-C, Frankie Bones, Sc@r & Uplift. When Project Mayhem ceased its activities, S4MWiSE later joined the NightKandi label, picking up where Project Mayhem left off with other great events such as “Welcome to Kandiland!”as well as the “Raibow Trip” series, playing alongside international Hardcore legends such as DJ Gammer, DJ Entity, Sharkey, and more across major cities like Ottawa and Quebec City. Get your best dance shoes on, people… Because this DJ means business! ------------------------------------------------- ControversialNoize Montréal, QC Montreal Hardcore Resistance -------------------------------------------------- This artist began his musical career at the age of 10, when he picked up his first instrument; the Trombone. For the following 6 years, he would begin to expand his musical reach to a number of other instruments including the Guitar, Bass, and various Percussion related instruments. It was at the age of 15 when he joined the Montreal rave scene, and began organizing parties consisting of the Harder styles of EDM. At the age of 16, after co-hosting “Masquerade” with two of his friends, he began throwing Hardstyle/Hardcore parties under the HAF prod. name, including “Harder Than Fuck”, Harder Than Fuck 2”, “Filthy as Fuck”, “Loud as Fuck”, Masquerade 2: Evil as Fuck! (Halloween Hangover), “Free as Fuck: Rave For Kenya!”, and “Free as Fuck: 2 Hard 2 Fuck”. At the age of 17, he began to experiment spinning electronic music (starting with Hardstyle). Starting off as just some messing around, he would soon fall in love with the trade, and begin to take it more seriously. At the age of 19, he founded a movement (known as the Montreal Hardcore Resistance, or MHR) dedicated to keeping the spirit of Hardcore alive in Montreal. Since that time, the MHR has thrown “Free as Fuck 3: The Montreal Hardcore Resistance!”, and Masquerade 3: Gas Mask Bash!”(a two-room Hardcore/DarkPsy party) and is planning many more, along with helping other organizers in Montreal with promotion for their events. Since his days as a Hardstyler, he has expanded his interest into the vast depths of Hardcore Techno, predominantly Frenchcore, but also including UK Hardcore and Mainstream Hardcore (not to mention Hardtek & Raggatek). Pete's love for bass music started at a young age getting early exposure to Jungle music from the likes of Chris Shepard spinning early jungle is his radio sets in Toronto & traveling abroad to family over in the UK and getting exposure of the culture form where it began. Hearing early sounds of Goldie & The Prodigy ingrained his love for the genre at a young age. 2014 was Pete Shredz break out year! It started off by joining Rough Crew and has got him behind the decks alongside such DJ's as Bladerunner, Kenny Ken, Lush, Voltage, DCision, & Everybody's Daddy. Pete also got to play at Alweezgrooven where he was one of two D&B DJ's. Pete Shredz also had the luck to get to close off the Hive stage at Valhalla Sound Circus 2014 with massive 3 hour set! Valhalla Sound Circus saw the likes of International DJ's Crissy Criss & Tantrum Desire as well as Canadian heavyweights Mark Instinct & Downlink. So far in 2015, Pete has played along side Gunman & recorded a 1 hour promo mix with UK Badmon, Saxxon in Febuary. Pete also holds down 2 weekly radio shows on Contraband Radio & Noize.fm.
