To round off the month of July and get ready for the summer heat we'll be bringing you in August, we've got two of Ottawa's talented local DJ's providing the beats for your feets:

JOE ROWE

DJ Joe Rowe started playing several years ago in St. John’s Newfoundland and quickly became a local favorite. Joe won the yearly Amateur DJ Competition at Liquid Ice, Newfoundland’s premier after-hours club, and played other notable gigs such as the “Red Cliff Rave”, playing a 3 hour peak time slot for 1000’s of party goers at Newfoundland’s largest music festival Splash 2004. Another notable event was at Laser Runner in Grand Falls, featuring internationally acclaimed recording artists Choclair and Spence Diamonds, with the beats for the late night being provided by our young prodigy Joe.

A more recent accomplishment of Joe's was playing along side Global Deejays for nearly 1000 people at Montreal’s largest nightclub, The Dome. Joe was also mentioned in the 2006 Trancer’s Guide to the Galaxy, an international magazine distribution that focuses on the trance scene of major cities around the world and their respective artists. Joe has also played along side 5-time DMC judge Matt the Alien and was the headliner for the first ever rave in Timmins’s Ontario, playing for a sold out crowd in a massive concert hall.

MAD BOY MATT (Lojikal)

Mad Boy Matt has been making a lot of noise in the Ottawa area the past year. From very memorable performances at Sundaze Up-N-Comerz 3 and then at UnC4, to gigs in many of the major clubs in town, culminating with a first-place win at Surface's 05/06 UDJ comp and an opening slot for Montreal's DJ Creator, Matt's been busy! This guy can rock the floor evey time, and we're happy to have him back with us again!
